TRANSPORT TRIBUTE TO DENNIS
A convoy of buses formed a procession from Chesterfield Town Hall to Dronfield Cemetery for the funeral of Dennis Vickers.
Dennis, an employee of many local bus companies was also the keenest of transport enthusiasts.
Born at Heeley, he began his career in Sheffield and then worked for Hulleys, Silver Service, Syd's Coaches, Ladyline, Thompson Travel, Aston Express - then back to Hulleys. Although he occupied many managerial roles, his biggest thrill was always driving buses around north Derbyshire and Sheffield.
Dennis was the son of Sheffield historian and author J. Edward Vickers MBE.
Another great turnout at The Woodseats Festival!
