Here's some news about the second of our releases this month
DIT-070 "Line For Thurgoland" by Lou Barnell comprises around a half-hour of experimental/improvised vocal tracks based on Lou's text scores.
It's a field recording made in an actual disused railway tunnel in Thurgoland, South Yorkshire and which has massive reverb qualities!
Four tracks from the performance will be made available on a clear 10" 33rpm lathe-cut EP and a fifth track is available as part of the digital download.
The release will be available to pre-order on Friday 6th September (Bandcamp Friday) at 0900 UK time, and the orders will be sent out at the end of September to coincide with the digital launch of the release.
If you're fans of the work of Emergence Collective, then I think you'll like this release - indeed, several of the Collective feature on this recording.
The release comes with a 12-page full-colour booklet comprising art inspired by Thurgoland, and includes photos of the recording location & EP credits.
This release is priced at £16 plus p&p
There'll be a special one-off bundle on offer, comprising the original artwork for this release (created by Lou Barnell) along with a copy of the EP cut on a different coloured heavyweight 10" blank. Additionally, there'll be a single-sided 10" lathe-cut included with this bundle, containing the fifth track which will otherwise only be available on the digital download.
The artwork is an unframed A3 sized mixed media piece and is a strict one-off. This "bundle" will appear as a separate item on the Bandcamp page. (See photo in comments)
