Dales Radio has the best interests of the community at heart and we welcome contributions from individuals, charities and community groups and will publicise your events and causes on the station for free. Dales Radio is funded through grants, donations and local advertising - a chance for local businesses to promote their products and services across the Dales at very reasonable rates. This drone image just shows the complete devastation in Kirkby Lonsdale and reveals just how much has had to be demolished following the fire.

Kirkby Lonsdale Update 19/12/2024 15.00

More demolition with the long reach excavator has been carried out over the last few days.

The roof structure on the old market hall has been removed, as well as the second floor on the rear of the building.

The general store & army surplus has fully been fully demolished, along with an archway leading to the rear court yard. Also part of the second and third floor above save the children shop charity shop has been removed.

Scaffolding is now being erected along the whole front of the 1854 listed building.

Sad to hear of the passing away of Eddie Stobart at the age of 95.

Eddie Stobart, who has died at 95, started an agriculture business after the war which expanded into a haulage company whose green and red trucks became amongst the most familiar on British roads.

It’s been 37 Days since the A65 got changed to 30mph from 40mph in Ingleton.

This morning the village was greeted by its first Safety Camera Van since the speed limit was lowered 37 days ago!

Will have be a profitable morning for them! Parked half behide a hedge near Lords Antiques, pointing the safety camera right at the 30/40mph change point πŸ™ƒ
