Seahaven FM is a Not-for-Profit Ofcom licensed Community Radio station. The station began broadcasting full-time on 9th January 2011 covering Newhaven Peacehaven and Seaford on 96.3 FM. From the 30th November 2020 Seahaven FM added a relay and now additionally covers Eastbourne, Polegate, Langney, Hampden Park, Pevensey from our Eastbourne transmitter on 95.6 FM

We broadcast all local information

, travel, what's on events etc and you'll hear the greatest selection of music on any station covering the music created for teenagers from the 1950s to today, so no matter how old you are now you'll hear lots of songs from your youth as well as lots of forgotten classics, all carefully hand picked just for you!

Our Story

Seahaven FM is the local radio station for Newhaven, Seaford and Peacehaven and can also be heard in parts of Lewes, the East Sussex county town. We were awarded the licence by Ofcom on the 8th September 2009 and were able to announce this via the Internet broadcast at 09:09 on Wednesday the 9th of September 2009 or 09:09:09 on the 09/09/2009. The station began broadcasting full-time on 10th January 2011. As Seahaven FM is a Community Radio station all the presenters you hear on air are volunteers, they to do their shows around their normal lives and jobs. Some of the people you hear on air also help with the technical, management and administrative side of running the station along with a strong team of admin volunteers. We are always happy to hear from anyone wishing to help if you can offer us a few hours a week to help run of the station.
