As the festive season approaches, we wanted to share our Christmas opening hours with you. We’ll be breaking up for Christmas on Friday, 20th December, taking a well-earned break to recharge until the new year starts on Monday, 6th January 2025.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank you to all of our amazing customers and collaborators, for trusting us with your projects and being part of another fantastic year.

Our friends over at Astro Dog have a wonderful exhibition of Astro and night photography going on at the Shakespeare Gallery as part of Scarborough Fair, it's been extended by a week so now's a great opportunity to check out their work!

These guys are the local go to's for all things Aurora so expect some amazing shots of the Northern lights, as I know these guys regularly are out until the weekend hours getting frostbite for the best shots!

ASTRO DOGS VERY FIRST PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION 'CELESTIAL ADVENTURES!" HAS JUST BEEN EXTENDED BY ANOTHER WEEK! 🥳🛰🚀💖🔭✨️🪐

We are delighted to announce that our very first night photography and astrophotography exhibition at the Shakespeare Gallery in Scarborough has just been extended by another week! The exhibition will be taking place each and every day until Tuesday 23rd July between 11:15am and 5:30pm.

Prints of our photography will be available to purchase along with other space themed goodies and Astro Dog merchandise.

As many of you know, we have a great passion for night photography, astrophotography and of course the beautiful Northern Lights. While we have always loved the night sky, night photography and aurora chasing is where our celestial adventures really began. It was around ten years ago now that we captured our first photographs of meteors and the Northern lights and we’ve been hooked ever since.

Not too long ago, we were invited to take part in Scarborough ART, a fantastic festival (part of The Scarborough Fair) celebrating local creatives at a variety of venues across Scarborough. We were thrilled to have been given the chance to take part and couldn’t turn down this amazing opportunity.

OUR FIRST PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

We have been hosting our first ever Astro Dog night photography and astrophotography exhibition this past week and are delighted to have had this exhibition extended for another week. We will in fact be exhibiting in not one, but two incredible venues in Scarborough this month. The Shakespeare Gallery (previously known as the Shakespeare Pub, a beautiful historical Tudor style building located opposite the Market Hall) and throughout August we will be exhibiting in a little gallery above Picturesque Framing shop on St John's Road.

We have never printed our photography before, and are excited to do so for the first time and to be able to share our photography with you all.

Both of our exhibitions will be free to attend, and will not require pre-booking. We will be displaying some of our favourite images that we have captured on our celestial adventures across Scarborough, Dalby Forest - Forestry England, North York Moors National Park and beyond, including some images that no-one has seen before!

CELESTIAL ADVENTURES EXHIBITION

The name for our photography exhibition will be called "Celestial Adventures"…

We would love to invite you all to join us on a celestial adventure, a journey through space and time. Exploring the cosmic beauty of the night sky. From the beauty/splendour of a moonlit ocean, to blackened skies adorned with stars, to the majesty of the Northern Lights dancing above the quiet cliff tops. Take a closer look at the jewels of the night sky from millions of lightyears away, such as distant star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. Marvel at nature’s own fireworks from lightning strikes to meteors and stunning atmospheric phenomena that paint our skies in all of the colours of the rainbow.

DATES AND TIMES

Our exhibition at The Shakespeare Gallery will take place every day until July 23rd and will be open from 11:15am to 5:30pm.

We will be announcing further information about our exhibition at the Picturesque gallery very soon.

ASTRODOG PHOTOGRAPHY PRINTS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE

In the past, we have been asked many times if we have prints of our photography available, and should you wish to take home some of our work, prints of all of our photography will be available for purchase.

Orders can be taken at the exhibitions and soon prints will be made available on our website and on the Scarborough Fair Website too.

GIFT SHOP

We will also have a little space themed gift shop which will include a variety of space themed goodies as well as Astro Dog merchandise. Plus you may get to see the Astro Dog herself. Luna. 🐶✨️

We have been very busy over the past few months preparing for these exhibitions, finalising the processing, printing and framing of our work.

We are over the Moon to be exhibiting our photography work for the first time, we can’t wait to see our work printed for the first time and let everyone be able to view our work in physical format for the first time too! We look forward to hopefully seeing lots of you there. You might get to see the Astro Dog herself too, Luna. 😊

We've had a couple of emails this morning asking where's Matt going - our post the other night at his leaving do was maybe a bit misleading, so we thought we'd clarify exactly what's happening!

Matt isn't leaving the company, he's just going to be remotely working from Edinburgh now! nothing will change here at keep. We're going to be opening an office in Edinburgh too, so keep your eyes peeled for some more exciting work outside of Scarborough!

Let's wish him well on his move today, hope the traffic is kind and the parking gods clear a space for him at the other end!

We had a wonderful night with the design crew the other night giving a last supper before he emigrates north of the wall (don't worry, he's still half of keep!!)
