Ahead of the forthcoming party season....

As we move into the festive season many DJs will be faced with people out on their works parties etc and will likely receive a lot of requests that they can't play as they may not have them or aren't suitable for the event / venue / vibe etc.

I've been on the receiving end of grief from many customers and even though I'd say I'm quite mentally head strong, it's still not a nice feeling when you're being told you're s**t etc, and others may not be as strong.

My point is, with mental health a big talking point at the moment, if you're one of these people abusing the DJ because they won't play your request, spare a thought for how your actions may impact that person who is essentially at work earning a living.

Imagine you being sat at your desk and some pi**ed up person comes up to you telling you you're s**t at your job.

Remember that the DJ is playing to the whole room, not just for you.

We love a surpise party, and this one was brilliantly done by Lynsay for her parents, Steve and Alison. It was their pearl wedding anniversary (30 years). Many congratulations from us.

Saturday night's main event was Al's surpise 50th birthday party. To say Kerry pulled off the surprise of the year was an understatement. Lots of house and garage anthems were played at people partied till late. Happy birthday from us at Floorfillers.
