Attended by their Royal Patrons the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, I provided lectern and hand held mics, d&b Audiotechnik PA system hire and sound mix.

Making the stage live: so often in theatre we put headsets on the lead characters. But that can be expensive to in the context of amateur theatre, and takes a lot of audio management…fitting…batteries…positioning.

What if we could just make the stage “Live” and have actors heard without the faff of personally mic’ing them.

We can, in the right circumstances. Here we’ve got 4 x DPA 4071 miniature mics hung above the stage with our steel wire, and an additional 4 x mics at the front. It works well! When it’s a 250-350 cap seated hall, this sound reinforcement is all the supplement needed.

This weekend was sound for Back 2 the 80s at Buile Hill Park Salford, on my d&b flown PA. Had many wonderful comments about the sound quality. Proud to be able to do full sound production and PA hire as a sole trader, for larger and larger events this year.
