This is a short clip from my interview with Cllr David O’Keefe, formally of the Green Party. It’s important to remember that David is autistic so sometimes he may have problems with things like eye contact etc.

This story was the one I wanted to ask, mainly because it sounded hilarious. However, there is a more serious side to this. As you will see the story is both funny and concerning at the same time. It’s concerning that something so trivial became a complaint but more importantly how it was reported in The Star and The Echo.

In my opinion, Liam Thorp’s story and David’s story do not contradict each other. It is very upsetting to David that whenever his name is Googled that is the version everyone sees.

Google David and look at the stories. Do you think he was reported fairly?

"The two hours of the day that photographers and filmmakers like to call 'the golden hour' and 'the blue hour' are amazing for taking photos. The sky is transformed in a short span of time, and if the clouds are just right, it makes for a spectacular display of colour. These photos were taken on the precipice of these two hours – the very moment where the sun disappears below the horizon, and the light begins to fade quickly. They were an exercise in colour grading – I find that the camera never gets the full drama of a sunset, and editing them to bring out the rich oranges and pinks whilst preserving the deep blues is always a nice relaxed way to spend a night!"

During my venture to photograph the River of Light trail, I found my eyes being drawn to examples of geometric modern architecture being reflected and warped by other materials nearby. The city is an intriguing combination of modern and old, clean and decayed, ordered and warped, bright and dark – I love taking pictures that place these qualities side by side."

Kelza Pilkington has been trying out some macro photography to develop her skills.

"I absolutely love macro photography. From an early age I've had a fascination with studying things up close to see the details that many people would miss. It's like William Blake said: “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower. Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour” - there's so much to be seen even in the smallest things, and to look up close can turn a tiny insignificant item into a world all of its own."
