UK electric vehicle charging prices remain competitive and stabile, while fuel prices are rising, the AA’s latest EV Recharge Report reveals.

The November report shows charging prices across all speeds remained static, while fuel pump prices rose by 1.5 pence per litre and have also seen further increases so far in December.

The prototypes follow the debut of two concepts at last year’s show where the brand first announced the 0 Series and revealed that it’s planning to launch seven models before the end of the decade.

Virta has joined the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) as part of its drive to accelerate the UK’s EV transition.

The EV charging specialist, which operates in the UK and across 35 countries with more than 500,000 charging points, said fleet vehicles hold the key to driving faster adoption of electric vehicles which, in turn, will lead to improvements in charging infrastructure.

Honda and Nissan are investigating a merger that would enable them to better compete against Tesla and Chinese electric vehicle makers such as BYD, reports suggest.

Japanese business newspaper the Nikkei said sources had revealed the two carmakers are exploring operating under a holding company, rather than an all-out merger, and will soon sign a memorandum of understanding.
