Last week I had two special days with a special community I’m a part of Cabal

Lysa and James put on and held 2 days of real growth and connection conversations built to not just challenge us, but to deepen our own meanings of why we do what we do. For those that really know me, you’ll know this is the exact type of space I want to be a part of.

Among this community are inspirational business owners I am learning so much from, building their next moves in open and vulnerable ways. I love that and feel at home with it.

As for the location. Wow. Idyllic. Perfectly hosting these types of conversations, looking after us and providing the space to feel at ease. Something I appreciate with what we do at the YouNeek Productions studio.

There’s opportunity to join our group and others across the country through James and Lysa. And if you’re wondering, it definitely has my vote.

Allow me to reintroduce myself…

My name is…

We all know the banger that follows that. But in this case it’s Luke. Owner and Creative Director.

The wild journey that is entrepreneurship is evolving at a pace that on the inside feels normal. On the outside, with some reflection, is less normal.

We are a Creative Production company. We produce emotion-led films. We’re visual storytellers. We want to produce something memorable and that will have an impact. And that can mean our work varies. A lot.

Luke got to share this on a stage recently. A new scenery to speak on. As opposed to local circles, family and friends, social media. The perspective and story is broadening.

But what remains is the focus of doing what we do with People First. Show Kindness. Be Creative. At the centre of it all. It’s been a couple of weeks where those values have sung loudest internally with the crew.

For now, for those who don’t know us this is an introduction to that. For those that follow, see a thing or two, this is what’s underneath it.

Let’s talk about “The Bear”.

Recently just finished the series and wow. The first few series are chaos. Actual chaos. In an intensity way, but one that makes you feel exhausted after watching an episode. Not a negative exhausted, just with the dynamics on screen being so mental.

After a slight dip around series 4 where it went a little more abstract, which personally I didn’t mind, it’s finished in absolute glory.

A top 3 for me.

The stories and characters all paid off perfectly at the end, the investment we’d made into all of them emotionally was rewarded by the final episodes too.

Visually, some stunning cinematography and editing to bring the pace, intensity and chaos of a restaurant service. Just all impeccable. And the writing of it all. Just cherry on the top.

Huge fan. Go watch it! Paramount/Disney.

Crew Event 😍

A special group of people. Not joining us because it’s a work event that they have to be at, but because they want to be. They want to be part of our community.

Travelling from Devon, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Leicester and across the West Midlands to celebrate each other, the creativity we’ve all been producing, thanks for supporting us over the last however many years, and believing in what we’ll be achieving next together.

These aren’t just freelancers (and a now Policeman).

These are fellow creatives who are our team, our community and our people.

Shout out to Gourmet Gecko on the food as well! Insane job, especially in that heat.

Best thing about food content? The Chefs.

These guys were incredible. At their job, of course. But for a group that in their words “hate the camera” and understandably given we’re having to operate in their tight spaces became so accustomed to not necessarily the cameras, but the crew.

Maybe they were the ingredients (pun intended) that changed their perception of the camera?

The crew.

Our first and foremost aim is to make people feel comfortable with us. Relaxed enough that they feel like they’re just having a chat with other people who are genuinely interested in what they do. Before long, they’re showing up as themselves and you can really tell that in performance.

No secret sauce.

Just a straight up care in the process.

Like that of a great chef.

Adding movement, how it falls and how looks in reality.

These were provided as individual clips, but with every clothing items, all in all bringing every product to life that much more.
