Redroad FM Redroad plays Rotherham’s BIGGEST Variety Of Music on 102.4FM, Online, On Mobile & On Smart Speaker! Redroad is the youth radio station for South Rotherham.

After being on air for a month in March 2007, Redroad FM covered the schools half term holi

day and involved lots of organisations and individuals. In late 2007 Redroad FM was awarded a 5 year radio licence. The team of volunteers started to apply for funding to launch the station. The initial launch date of November 2009 was moved back to March 2010 and on Monday the 15th of March 2010 test transmissions started. The station launched on Saturday 27th of March 2010 at midday with the first show being presented by current breakfast show presenter Aaron Outram. Now we pride ourselves on being the station with the BIGGEST variety of music. Tune in and support your local community radio station!

Apologies that we haven’t been able to broadcast normally today. It’s safe to say it’s been a difficult 24 hours for us at Redroad FM. 😢 For the second time in less than 18 months, our broadcast studio and office building has been completely flooded by a burst water main on the street directly outside our building. Whilst our building is in a bit of a mess, we feel very lucky that our broadcast equipment has been completely unaffected and we should be able to begin broadcasting again and playing Rotherham’s BIGGEST Variety Of Music as normal from 7am on Tuesday morning! Thanks to all of our amazing volunteers who have stepped in to help today. As always, Redroad FM is all about good music and bringing the community together. Our thoughts are with the houses next to our building that have also been flooded for a second time in just over a year.
