4m wide media wall was finished last week. This time we tiled the alcoves. The customer chose glitter effect, split-face tiles.
LED lights were added for a glow effect to the logs.

Today I completed a small IRS system install for a block of 5 flats.
I installed the dish and aerial along with a DCSR multi switch, meaning that each flat is ready with SKY HD, SKY Q, and freeview without having dishes and messy cables on the outside of the building.

A job from yesterday.
Had a lady call me having issues with here tv signals.
On inspection it was clear to see that all the cables had perished and a old open splitter box which was causing the issue.

Even though the aerial had some age to it the signal levels were OK and didn't need replacing.

We installed four new cables and a master head amp so there was no signal loss.
All four TVs were back up and running and the customer also gained more TV stations as the old signal wasn't strong enough to pick up all the digital services.

Last weeks work was a data rack installation.
The customer had just recently moved in to a newly built property with the cables pre run and left unconnected in the loft.

The customer was having issues with the WIFI coverage in the house and wanted this improved and also wanted his 3 SKY Q boxes out of site.

I installed a 6u cabinet along with a gigabit switch and patch panel and terminated all of the cat 6 sockets in the house.

We installed WIFI access points through out the house using the pre run cat 6 cables.

The SKY Q boxes were also fitted in the rack using HDMI cat 6 extenders to send the video signal to the TVs along with hanging 4 TVs to the wall.

Here's a little Aerial system completed today.
New housing developments usually have the cables pre run from the loft to sockets in the house but never have arieals installed.
The location of the property was in a good signal area so there was no need for master head amps or amplifiers.
Just a 3 way splitter was used and all the cables In the loft connected up to make Aerial sockets In the house ready for freeview.

Two recent TV wall mount installations. The first customer was upgrading from a 37 inch to a 65 inch TV and wanted all the cables hidden behind the cavity and plasterboard.
The second installation was also a 65 inch TV with all cables hidden behind the wall. This TV was fixed to the plasterboard on this occasion.

Today's work was to set up a garage conversion into a office/garden room. The WiFi did not reach the building so I ran a cat6 cable from the hub under the drive into the office.
3 data sockets were installed for the computer and WiFi booster. The customer can now receive full WiFi signal and a direct connection to the computer from the hub.

Today's job was two TV wall mount installations.
The living room installation was a flat-to-the wall bracket, and a Sonos Beam soundbar bracket.
The bedroom had a Full Motion bracket installed due to the awkward shape of the bedroom and finding a suitable spot for the TV. The bracket allows the customer to move the TV to multiple positions and push it back flat to the wall when not in use.

Been a bit quiet on here lately. I have been working with a local property developer on a large development installing arieal distribution amplifiers to all of the property’s.
Each property has a arieal socket and spare cables for sky tv in every room, ready for the new home owners.

Here's a few pictures of freesat work carried out over the last week. Customers wanted new points put in or had signal issues due to rusty dishes or trees blocking the line of site. All issues now resolved!

One of today's jobs was an installation of a new aerial and two new aerial points. The customer also required a new dish - Sky had previously refused to install the dish due to attaching it to cladding - I was able to attach the dish to the facias. I also set up a point in the living room ready for the return of the Sky engineer to install Sky Q.

Booked for a job where the customer was experiencing WiFi and Sky Q issues.
Customer was only getting 35mbps but should have been receiving 370mbps. The Sky Q mini boxes were not working even when supported by BT discs boosters.
The problem was that the customer had too much using the WiFi - 4 BT discs, 4 Sky Q boosters and 5 Sky Q TV boxes - and it was affecting the speed.
To improve the performance I installed 12 data sockets along with a gigabit switch and hard wired the BT disks and Sky Q TV boxes. The Sky Q boosters were deinstalled and the WiFi function on the sky boxes turned off.
Customer is now getting 360mbps in every room and in their outdoor log cabin. The kids are over the moon as they are hard core gamers!

One from yesterday,
Complete overhaul on this one, The main reason for the call was because the aerial wasn't working.
The customer also wanted a clean up of existing equipment and also wanted get his house a bit more secure.
So we installed a ring flood light camera system and two security lights.
We upgraded the aerial with three extra sockets in the house along with a clean up of cables.

Back at it after a little break, Had a customer call who has had on going satelitte signal issues over the last few years but this year is finally given up the ghost. The trees have just grown that little extra this year and they have stoped the signal completely
We have now got the signal to full strength using a much larger mast and double bracket for extra strength.
It will give the customer many years of underrated signal.

Final picture of the tv unit we built. The customer has done a lovely job with the decorating and added some nice touches to the alcoves. .
