RIDE BEHIND LOCOMOTIVES - FROM MINIATURE TO MASSIVE..!
SUPER-POWER WEEKEND:
14th-15th September...

Come and join us for special weekend celebrating our collection of some of the world's most powerful narrow gauge locos - steam and diesel...

We're going to be running lots of extra trains for you to ride on, using a variety of steam and diesel locomotives from around the world.

You can buy a rover ticket to travel on as many trains as you like - from Caernarfon to Dinas, Waunfawr, Rhyd Ddu, Beddgelert or even Porthmadog.

If you prefer, first buy a train ticket to Dinas - then for just £5.00 you can visit this historic station, where we'll be showing off newly restored loco No.134.

There'll also be miniature train rides and stalls - and it will be a great place to watch all the trains going past on their way to and from Caernarfon.

Ar ôl dros ddeng mlynedd o waith dyfaliadol i ymestyn y rheilffordd, heddiw, 4ydd Medi 2024, daeth y freuddwyd yn fyw i ni allu adeiladu’r rheilffordd i’r Bala. Ar ôl goresgyn eu siom o gael eu gwrthod y llynedd mae'r tîm, staff a gwirfoddolwyr yn mwynhau perarogl llwyddiant heddiw, wrth gyflawni y cam enfawr ymlaen a gallu gwireddu ei uchelgais.

Er bod y caniatâd yn cynnwys llu o amodau y bydd rhaid i ni eu bodloni cyn i'r gwaith ddechrau, mae'n gyffrous gwybod bod hyn yn bendant yn mynd i ddigwydd erbyn hyn.

Dywedodd cadeirydd Ymddiriedolaeth Rheilffordd Llyn Tegid, Julian Birley, “Mae hwn yn ddiwrnod cyffrous iawn yma yng Nghymru a hoffem fynegi ein diolch diffuant i bawb sydd wedi ein cefnogi yn ariannol ac yn foesol, mewn rhywbeth a oedd tan rwan yn gwbl ddyfaliadol.
