Back in Northern Ireland, I learnt my craft shooting narrative-based films and working in partnership wi

th my best friend to make video content for local businesses and musicians, and even won an award from Film4. Since moving to Cornwall I have produced content for artists, actors, local busineses, theatre companies, charities and many other organisations to help tell their message.

New lighting work 🎥💡 *Stills from Lymp*

Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with on their latest short film, Lymp. This film, narrated in Kernewek, tells the story of a new kid at a Cornish secondary school who tries to conceal his true self on the basketball court.

It was a fantastic project to be part of, with an amazing cast and crew who did a brilliant job. Fylmankoth is on a remarkable journey, creating original and captivating content. Their work is making a significant impact on the Cornish film industry, laying strong foundations for future filmmakers in the region.Their dedication to quality and authenticity is setting a high standard and inspiring others to explore and celebrate identity through film. I can't wait to work with them again in the near future! It was also my first time lighting for DP Charlie Davies, the absolute legend and all round wonderful and talented human. Can't wait for our next collaboration!

New work! 🎥💡

I wanted to share a little promo & portraits that I made for the Super Tuner, Mr. Seamas Carey! It's a fun little piece, and it even features me as a piano player struggling to find the right tune until Seamas comes along and saves the day!

**Personal Note:**
03/10/2018 - 28/11/2024

Today, October 28, 2024, marks the final choir practice with Men Are Singing. Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of performing across Cornwall with a group of around 40 incredible men to spread the message that “Singing makes you feel better.” Together, we have contributed to something beautiful and created stories that will be shared for generations to come. I wish I had joined sooner, but I am extremely grateful for the nearly two years I’ve spent with the choir.

Singing truly does make you feel better, and I will continue to sing because of what Seamas and Men Are Singing have done for me. Thank you, Seamas, for what you have created. I will miss you, and I can’t wait to collaborate with you again in the near future.

In the meantime, here are a few stills from our "Swimming Pool Sessions," which were shot in the empty swimming pool at Ships & Castles, now known as the Pendennis Center, on a beautifully warm day in May. We recorded a few tracks that day thanks to Dan for recording them!

💡 New lighting work💡
I recently had the opportunity to work on the lighting for a boxing-themed short film for my best friend in Belfast. I'm really proud of how it turned out! The shoot lasted four days and took place in one interior location. We used 28 addressable lighting fixtures (CRMX and Sidus) and manually cued the lights to achieve the desired flash and strobe effects. Above the ring, we had a single F22c, and we rigged Astera tubes to the existing fluorescent tubes on the ceiling. The main key light was the Nova 600c, with an LS 60d & 300x serving as a backlight (usually rigged high). We also placed MC pros around the space as practical lights. Overall, I'm happy with the final look.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to 💡 light for Salt & Gorse. It was one of those shoots where everything just flowed and went exactly to plan. A definite highlight of my summer.

New lighting work 💡
I recently worked as the Gaffer for the first music video by musician Rue. I collaborated with the incredibly talented DOP Billy Abbott to create a lighting look inspired by the Tarantino films, hazy 70s style, using warm tones throughout and keeping Rue constantly in the spotlight. To add contrast, I included some cooler light, but overall, it was a great exercise in balancing ambient fixtures with larger controlled sources. I'm really proud of how it turned out, especially considering the tight schedule we had to work with. Big thanks to my spark Aidan clambering through windows!

The fixtures we used were: a 300d with a 19-degree spotlight, an f22c as the primary key, a snooted Forza 200, a Forza 300 for ambient fill, a Forza 60 as a topper, four pavo tubes for fill and an MC Pro as an eye light.
