Get well soon Phoebe 🥰

As many of you know, our little Phoebe has had ongoing bladder problems for a long time now 🧡. I have to help her express her bladder, multiple times a day, and I have being doing this for her since September last year.

Over the weekend, Phoebe was showing signs of being in pain, leading to her not eating and losing weight 😥. By Monday and round the clock care, she had picked up a little bit but I knew a vet visit was in order. After seeing our amazing exotics vet and having x-rays undertaken, it was confirmed that Phoebe has a large bladder stone sitting in the lower part of the bladder, possibly the neck of the bladder/start of the urethra 😞. Surgery will be the only option for removing this stone.

After many deliberations with the vet we have decided to opt for surgery for Phoebe. I am fully aware that it will be a high risk operation, due to Phoebe's ongoing bladder troubles and the location of the stone, which may be adhered to the side of the bladder/urethra. However, it is not fair on little Phoebe to go on as we are, this is (probably our only) chance to get that stone out and hopefully buy more time with her. We were initially booked in for Monday with the option of doing the surgery tomorrow - this morning I rang and confirmed I would like to go ahead tomorrow, as Phoebe was down on her weight again today.

Hello to everyone! First off my biggest apologies for being a little less active on here, we have moved house so we had a lack of internet while we were waiting for it to be re connected!
I’m glad to say that after a few days of settling in all 4 piggies have coped very well with the moved and the new place and are loving life!
Both the boys and the girls now share a room and are neighbours and all is going very well and they are loving being next to each other and with no issues from any of them!
Here is a pic of Willow just chilling out in her new hammock ❤️😍

Please remember this during the Christmas season. Guinea Pigs are fragile animals that need daily attention and care. They require a lot of time and patience to get to be the affectionate, cuddly pets people want.
If you and your children are not ready for the commitment get them a plush toy.
