The plan was to reach Zbojnická Chata before the rain. Although the plan failed again, we had fun—kind of. 😄

Ultimately, we decided to hike up to Téryho chata despite the lousy weather forecast. After hearing the first thunder, we had to turn around about 1 km before reaching our destination in the persistent rain. We hope for more luck next time.

Trento was our last stop on the road trip from Rome to Prague. The car was already loaded with wines and terracotta plant pots from Tuscany. We managed to load it even more with high-altitude and sparkling wines from the Trentino-Alto Adige region. 🍾➡️🚙

I had time over the festive period to add the Galapagos on Tectonic Plates chapter to the Online Galapagos Travel Guide.

Maps of the seafloor situate the Galápagos on the Nazca tectonic plate. This plate shifts southeast towards South America away from the East Pacific Rise.
