Inspired by music's ability to induce trance and mystical experiences. Soul Scientist (Andreia Gomez) is a musician, producer and DJ with over a decade of experience in performing, composing & producing music. She creates ecstatic psychedelic journeys that blend DJing and instrumental performance. Her sets include the works of Shpongle, Astrix, Electric Universe, Sacred Technology and Vini Vici to

name a few, rearranged and remixed live and in the studio. With added sound effects, samples and instrumental layers, each track has Soul Scientist’s unique arrangement and musical signature. She was the songwriter and lead guitarist for prog metal band MIND, who shared stages with psychedelic rock legends Hawkwind in 2019. She started to DJ as a side project, fascinated by the possibility of bringing music production into live performance, this soon became her main focus. Experienced in playing a variety of styles styles whilst heavily influenced by psychedelic rock and progressive metal, she found her calling in playing guitar alongside progressive psy trance. As someone who often experiences altered states of consciousness purely from dancing, she aims to induce similar states in others. Being flooded by ecstatic feelings of love, joy and oneness accompanied by beautiful visions (without the use of drugs!) conveys the true meaning and purpose of psychedelic trance music. The power it has to change our brain chemistry so deeply as to induce trance, psychedelic visions and powerful mystical experiences makes music the science of the soul, which is why she goes by the name Soul Scientist.

Guitarist, DJ & producer Andreia Gomez aka Soul Scientist blends the raw energy of live electric guitar with the intense power of full-on psytrance. Earth-rumbling beats, heavy guitar riffs and eastern inspired melodies are the hallmark of her music.

Her rapid rise in the UK's psytrance scene has seen her sharing stages with Ajja, Avalon, Talamasca, Mad Maxx, and Burn In Noise, at some of the most prestigious events such as Boomtown, Tribal Gathering, Existance, Altered States, Tribe of Frog and Illusiom.

Whether remixing tracks from acclaimed artists or producing her own, each track bears her unique musical signature, achieved through the incorporation of live sound effects, samples, and instrumental layers.

In July 2024, her first official release through Phantasm Records “String Synergy” ranked #8 on Beatport’s psytrance chart and stayed in the top 10 for a whole week. She’s currently working on her debut EP to be released in 2025.

Just uploaded my live set from Existance Festival 2024. I had such a blast playing alongside Ajja, Mad Maxx, Oxyflux, Earthling, Lunarave, Purple Shapes, Ingrained Instincts and many more talented artists. I had the honor of playing "The Visit" by Mindbenderz who kindly sent it to me before it was released the following week. What an incredible night we had Illusiom last weekend!! One of the best I've been to this year. Sharing the stage with Cedric Talamasca Dassulle was amazing! It was also my first time seeing him live, what a treat!! 😍 Once again thank you Thall Om and all the talented djs that made this night so special! This really set the bar high, I'm so honoured to have been part of it - Illusiom rocks! 🤘😎❤️

I saw Ozric Tentacles twice in a week and met the guitarist Ed Wynne, my biggest influence and inspiration!! 😍 Listening to his music put me on a journey into the realms of psychedelic guitar sounds and songwriting, years before I even discovered psytrance. I couldn't do what I do today if it weren't for him. I'm eternally grateful for his genius and endless creative flow. They say you shouldn't meet your heroes, I totally disagree, I have even more respect and admiration for him.
