Which one are you?
Truth be told, there is nothing 'wrong' with either method. Posting content spontaneously for some people works just fine. Normally on the day - you'll find some content that you can get out on your page for your audience to interact with - and that's great. But do you know what the benefits are for scheduling your content in advance?
The most obvious benefit to scheduling your content in advance is that you have already saved yourself the task of having to find something to post every morning - allowing you to concentrate on other things. Your content is likely then to be more varied and thought out because you have spent the time going through it and on most scheduling platforms you will be able to actually see your weeks / fortnight / months worth of content come together before it gets put into your feed.

What ways can you adapt them to work for your business?!
So your creating content like a super star , Scheduling it in advance like the whizz that you are, and yet, your fabulous post's don't seem to be reaching anyone... Because you did a quick google search and found an article on the 'perfect time to post' and went with it right?
Let's all agree that, as great as some of these online - very valuable content givers are, they ARE NOT always going to be valuable to you.
If you own a small business selling insomnia medication - your ideal client is likely to be online in the middle of then night, when their wide awake. Selling tickets for a fund raiser for your kids school? Try during a typical lunch break. Think about when their likely to be looking at their social media for that thing you can offer and try it. Whether that's the commute, the school run, first thing in the morning, last thing at night.
OR... head into your insights page , check at which point's your audience is online and most active and post when you know your audience is likely to be most present based on previous , actual data for your business.
There is no right time for everyone .. Because everyone's audience is going to be different. Try it out , measure your success, tweak if you need too, repeat.

We are remarkably grateful to be one of the many Rayleigh businesses that have chosen to have a photo of remembrance proudly in our window this year. With the poppy display on the Church being unfortunately unable to go ahead - this is a beautiful way to show the faces of those fallen, in the form of snippets of shots around Rayleigh.
This young man is Phillip David Lloyd. He was born in 1917 in Essex, and he worked for Chigwell Urban District Council.
He joined the RAVFR in September 1938 and did his weekend flying at 21 E&RFTS, Stapleford Tawney. Called to full-time service at the outbreak of war, Lloyd completed his training and joined 41 Squadron at Catterick in early September 1940.
He had married Phyllis Irma Glasscock in Epping in July.
Lloyd was shot down and killed in a surprise attack by Hauptmanm Fozo of 4/JG51 on the 15th October. His spitfire, X4178, crashed into the channel. His body was washed ashore near Kings Hill, Herne Bay twelve days later.
Lloyd was 23 and is buried in the Holy Innocents' Churchyard, High Beach , Essex.

I've just finished writing a training session for a small team of independent estate agents and wanted to pick out some of the key points I have included for managing the social media for their business online.
Engagement is a HUGE part of social media ( the key is in the word believe it or not 🔑) because it doesn't only build genuine relationships but it helps to grow your audience which when combined with consistency is a game changer for your business!
If your going to aim to do anything for your business this week, head into one of the groups that you will find your ideal target audience in and engage on some of their posts! Give it a try and let me know how it goes!

Get yourself on your platform! Whether it’s a post of you ,a top tip, a live - just get yourself there. How will anyone else know your there - if even you are not on your platform ?!

Daily ramblings are grand, but if your building and continuously developing your online community then you need to be giving them something of value. Tips , page info , an e book or a guide that significantly helps them or is of use to them works really well!
✨Be consistent✨
Once you have mastered showing up on your page and giving your audience value that their going to love you for - stick with it . Even if your only posting 3 times a week - keep it consistent!
✨Always Be You✨
People buy from people . So what ever small business your running - let them know that there is a real person behind the page. Build those relationships with actual people!

We all are to an extent and running a business can be stressful - The drive to check our messages, see who’s commented, catch up on the latest reels has left us rendered to technology. And like most things, its great but take time to check your self care status too!
✨Take a walk - Grab the dog 🐶 ( If you have one obviously) If not, just walk . Whether that be with your headphones in, taking your time to breath in the fresh air just take the time out of the ‘working zone’.
✨Block out ‘you’ time in your calendar 🗓 - We do this to ensure that our business is getting the best out of us (content creation, planning and training days)so why Wouldn’t we block out time actually for us?
I always felt guilty taking a break away from it but that break ensures that I’m giving the best I can to my business. You cant give it your best if your own glass is half full!

Of course their are quick ways to get around it and raise your following ten fold , but you NEVER SHOULD! Here are some of things you should definitly NOT be doing to your brand! 👇🏻

We all want to know ‘ How to beat the algorithym’ ( Secret Spill - YOU CANT! ) but these things will inevitably lead to you just clogging up your page with people that are not the people that are your audience. Thier not going to egage with your content authentically AND their not going to buy from you!
Dont waste your efforts on it! Use that effort learning about your audience, really figuring out who they are and concentrate on creating amazing Valuable and relatable content that they will want to engage with ❤️

We’ve been away, enjoying a break on the Bournemouth coast. Just blue skies, lovely weather and laughter. Best of all, we’ve all come home ready to tackle the rest of 2020!
I originally wanted to extend my social media services to help support other parents that were trying to balance the work/ life struggle with their own businesses. Be it small or already well developed. I love being an extension of something that can help.
I have availability currently for social media management clients - but alongside this, I also offer audits of your social platforms which are great if you’ve found that the social media aspect of your business has been slightly neglected over the last 6 months and you just want to make sure your on the right track. WHERE IS EVERYONE?
Why are people not commenting on my posts? It’s a common question that I hear a lot.
Pointer one ... I’d really suggest that you dig deep and make sure that your targeting the right audience. It’s great to have a huge following on your platform but it means very little if the people that you are talking to , are not listening. So you absolutely need to make sure that your talking to the right audience first!
Pointer 2... Have you thought about the type of content that your posting? Realistically, if your talking to people that are not in your target audience and therefor not interested in your content - then they are very unlikely to interact with it.
WHERE DO I FIT IT IN!
It’s the dream isnt it? Start a business, be your own business, never have to miss another school run, nativity, hospital trip, play ... And yet it doesn't always work out.
Delegating your socials work out to a dedicated Social media manager can save you a whole chunk of time when it comes to that element of your business . From ensuring that you stay visible online, are targeting the right audience and creating the right content to keep your audience engaged - these are just some of the things that a social media manager (such as myself!) can assist you with.
