🌟 Video Over a Year in the Making: The Transformation of the The Granville Theatre 🎭

I’m thrilled to share this special video documenting the incredible journey of the Granville Theatre’s transformation! From the renovations to behind-the-scenes highlights of shows, including clips from the current panto production of Peter Pan (go and see it, it's superb!!), James Baker Productions Tiny Dancer, Regencys own production of Chicago & Bombay Bicyble Club. This video captures the heart and spirit of a theatre that means so much to our community.

✨ A Very Special Event ✨
This month, the Granville Theatre will host “Remembering Sophia”, a heartfelt tribute to Sophia Tarjomani—the visionary founder of Regency Productions and a beloved mentor who dedicated her life to the performing arts.

The evening will feature live performances, music, and tributes, including acts from Regency Productions, Only The Young, and West End performer Shannon Taiwo. Proceeds will support Children with Cancer and Demelza Hospice Care, two causes close to Sophia’s heart.

Let’s talk money, because honestly, weddings are expensive.

Whether your budget is £9k or £90k, the biggest tip I can give you is PRIORITISE.

🤑Work out what you NEED first - a venue, registrar, clothes, food…
🤑Then what do you WANT - live music, a designer dress, an epic photographer (Hi 👋), incredible flowers
🤑Anything you don’t want, but feel you have to have… get rid. Life’s too short.

Obviously I think a photographer should be high on your wishlist, but if you don’t want a keepsake of your day, cool.

Hate the idea of a top table? Bin it.

Don’t like dancing? Get rid of the first dance.

Hate cake? Don’t buy one.

There are SO many things you can have on your wedding day, but the whole day should be an expression of you as a couple, so if something doesn’t match - don’t do it!

I’ve never shot a wedding at your venue before… but is that a bad thing?

Probably not!

It means I can get super creative with your images, without having any preconceived ideas of what’s worked (or hasn’t) before at that venue. It also allows us to be completely natural and go with what you want me to capture, rather than me knowing that a shot works really well in a certain place. The best photos are the unplanned ones!

Groom prep at for A & Js wedding.

When couples send me an enquiry, 90% of them mention that whilst they see the value in wedding photography, they don’t know what to expect. After all, people get married because they’re in love and they want to spend their entire lives together. Not because they want a fancy photoshoot. I’m aware they want to spend as much time as possible with their friends and family, after all this is a day where everyone you love is in one place.
This is why covering the getting ready segment of the day candidly, is so important. During those last few minutes of adjustments to your shirt, shoes & tie, I aim to capture the intimacy & the unplanned whilst ensuring I photograph authentically in a relaxed way.

I'm so glad we found James and chose him as our wedding photographer! I loved the style of his photos and his use of colour - I was looking for a photographer that didn't sepia wash everything!

We aren't based in the UK so James took the time to have 2 online meetings with us and made sure he had all the information he needed before the day. James is relaxed, friendly and will go with the flow. But at the same time he is organised and meticulous - and does it all with a smile on his face. I can't wait to see the rest of out photos but I'm already so delighted with what we've seen so far.

Stop researching and just book this guy 😆🙌

A little known thing about weddings (that I believe needs more airtime) is… you need to feed your suppliers!

Your photographer, videographer, band and anyone else who’s there for the majority of the day - all need food!

This can be served at the same time as the wedding breakfast to make things easier for your venue/caterers but it’s something to factor into your budget.

I’m on my feet all day and pretty much all I want is to put my feet up for a few minutes, scoff down some food, and then get back to taking awesome shots of your day.

So please - feed us!
