We overthink creativity so much we forget the tool in our pocket could outshoot half the excuses we make.

“You don’t need a £3k camera.”
True. You need eyes, curiosity, and a phone that isn’t older than your childhood trauma. That’s it.

“Light > Gear.”
If your phone can see the light, it can make something worth looking at. Chase shadows, windows, sunsets. Not specs.

“Composition is free.”
Angles, framing, leading lines… none of that needs a cinema camera. That’s you, not the device.

“Story beats equipment every time.”
People want to feel, not pixel peep. Give them a moment, not megapixels.

“Start now. Stop waiting.”
Your phone is powerful enough. Your ideas are good enough. The only thing not pulling its weight is your hesitation.

We don’t need permission. We don’t need the perfect setup.
We just need to show up, point the phone, and press record.

If you’ve got a story in you, your phone is already begging you to get it out.

My 25/26 Game Plan

I’ve spent the last few months figuring out what I’m actually trying to build… not just what I’m trying to post.
This is the plan I’m committing to over the next 18 months:

Slide 1 — The Hook
I’m putting it out there publicly so I have something to grow into. No fluff. No “manifesting.” Just ownership.

Slide 2 — The Projects
These are the films that matter to me.
They’ll take time. They’ll test me. But they’re the kind of stories I want my name attached to.

Slide 3 — The Business
I don’t want to chase random clients forever.
I want to build trust with the right ones — the ones who value storytelling over trends.

Slide 4 — The Skills
I’m not pretending I’m perfect.
These are the areas I’m genuinely focusing on: stronger visuals, tighter pacing, deeper interviews, and finding my real voice.

Slide 5 — The Commitment
I’m not chasing viral.
I’m chasing momentum.
Slow steps, but in the right direction.

This is what I’m building. Feel free to stick around for the journey — or check back in next year and see how far it’s gone.

The moment I stopped chasing the algorithm, the work finally felt mine again.

I used to scroll first thing every morning to “study what works.”

Really, I was just comparing.
Trying to reverse-engineer other people’s luck.
Then I realised the algorithm isn’t evil — it’s just empty.

It rewards consistency, not honesty.
And I’d rather post less if it means I actually like what I’m putting out. If one of my videos takes off, cool.

If it doesn’t, it still represents me — not some version of me chasing approval.

The work finally feels like mine again.

I chose a difficult format in a world of short form wonders.
Why?

Because stories need to be told. 📸

These shots never made the cut… but they still shaped the film.1. THE QUIET MOMENT2. THE STRUGGLE3. THE SUPPORTIVE.

1. THE QUIET MOMENT
2. THE STRUGGLE
3. THE SUPPORTIVE.

This one tiny moment took 9 minutes to capture, 40 minutes to grade & 3 seconds to feel.
Real filmmaking is not efficient.
It’s obsessive.

Everyone thinks I “just film.”
Here’s what actually goes into this…

Camera Operator – I’m hands on with every single shot. Movement, framing, pacing… making sure every moment is captured with intention.

Editor – where the story actually forms. I choose what matters, remove what doesn’t, and build emotion out of timing.

Cinematographer – it’s not enough to point the camera. I shape the light, colour, mood, composition… so the final picture feels cinematic.

Drone Operator – the world looks different from above. The drone lets me scale the story and give projects weight you literally can’t get from ground level.

…and truthfully, that’s just scratching the surface 😂
Solo creators do way more than anyone ever sees.

If you’re a creator reading this — which one of these roles drains you the most and which one do you LOVE the most?

Why not, here's some BTS alongside their respective shots.
I wanted to keep it simple for today.

Look. Raw is not better. Simple. 🙏🏻

So stop asking for the RAW footage!

Most videographers & photographers spend hours making their work pop. We turn the washed out RAW into something of note. Flesh it out.

Also don't forget RAW is more memory. Different format and sometimes requires specific playback footage.

So just bear that in mind before asking.

RAW is not better.

Sinners isn’t just a cut — it’s a culture.
The place has noise, personality, real people… and that raw barbershop energy you don’t fake. This is why I shoot places like this. There’s story in every chair and identity in every fade.

This reel is just a taste of what goes down inside these walls.
