It's Children In Need Day!

Today is all about coming together to support children who need it most. Whether it's a donation, a bake sale or wearing your favourite PJs to raise awareness, every little bit helps to make a BIG difference! 💛

I've sent the kids to school dressed in spots and with bake sale pennies. Naturally I'd love to spend the day in my PJs to show support but I'm out and about today and I doubt clients or the good people of Radcliffe/Bury will appreciate seeing me in my PJs... So from me it's a donation.

These are all excuses people use to not post on social media... but you see... likes, comments and shares can be vanity metrics and not a true reflection of how your marketing strategy is working 🙌 especially if you're comparing yourself to pages that feel the need to pay for likes, views, shares and comments!

Yes, the more engagement you get the more reach you get, but there is also "lurkers". People who watch your content, value your content and consume it but they never engage - that's not a bad thing... just not everyone feels the need to 'like' every post they see!

To you it seems that no one is watching... but they are! They watch everything! So, stop getting caught in the trap of craving social media engagement and instead concentrate on offering value, demonstrating your expertise and knowledge and showcasing your ability as the best in your industry 💪

Who says pets can’t be part of the workday?

Today, I’m knee-deep in design for some festive flyers promoting a local businesses “Breakfast with Santa” event 🎅, but my pup, Kenobi, is determined to steal the spotlight (and my attention)! 😅

While having furry friends around definitely adds an extra dose of joy to the office, I can’t deny they can also be a bit of a distraction! Between the cuddles and puppy eyes, it’s a challenge to stay focused. 🙈

So here’s to all the pet parents out there trying to balance work and play! How do you keep your productivity in check when your furry coworkers just want your love? 🐶

The Blues fight back for a nail biting draw with 3 minutes to full time!

The Radcliffe Juniors FC U12s Blues took on Walshaw Sports Club U12s Warriors this morning in a fantastic match away at Elton High School.

The Blues were up 2-0 after 15 minutes from a great free kick from Norman, then a fantastic goal from Lopez. The Warriors fought back and scored 2 headers from 2 corner kicks, making it 2-2 at half time.

The Blues had a slow start to the second half and ended up 4-2, but with encouragement from manager, Jay Marsh and coach, John Rooney, the Blues dug deep and pulled it back.

With 10 minutes til the final whistle, Ngwa bagged a cracking goal making it 4-3 and in the final 3 minutes, Ngwa crosses the ball to Marsha who went on to score a superb header!!

Well done to the boys who remain joint second in the North Bury Junior Football League Under 12 Divison 1 Part 1 💙

BUSINESS ACADEMY 2024: AND SO IT BEGINS!

Yesterday saw the start of our Business Academy for the class of 2024/2025 where 20 local new business owners gathered at Business Lodge for the first meeting of this Academy year.

New Academy member, Dean Evans, from Think Drive had this to say about how the first session went:

"It was a great first day on the Business Academy! Meeting all 20 likeminded business owners and seeing firsthand the support that we will get has made me even more excited for the future of Think Drive.

I'm looking forward learning more about how I can help the business grow, with a particular interest in networking and support from the experienced business owners in the Patrons Club".
