This past weekend, PureFM’s Head Of Music, Ed, and Social Secretary, Corey had the privilege of attending the Shy FX Rave at Pitt Street Skatepark to do press and social media coverage for a night full of Drum n Bass and Jungle.

The atmosphere in the room was second to none, with an electric crowd, and following the interview with Ed and the Event Organiser, Billy Osbourne, we were so happy to see some of our listeners in attendance, enjoying the event as much as we were.

The support acts were all amazing, from those in the main room and YARD area, raising the excitement prior to the headline performance, and we would strongly encourage all of our listeners and followers to attend the next Rave on 03/05, headlined by Andy C, once again at Pitt Street.

PureFM is running a competition! Upcoming artist Saint Leonard has released one of his newest singles, Red Book, on vinyl! Sound interested?

For a chance to win the competition, keep your eyes peeled for our posters around campus. They are in several buildings. All you have to do is scan the QR code on the poster and fill in the Google form, nothing more, nothing less!

The form closes on February 23rd. Winners will be announced at the end of the month.

I suppose this is a bit of a PureFM wrapped, if you will. We asked you, the PureFM followers, to tell us your favourite song, album, movie and concert of this year. And you guys delivered some great responses! It’s great seeing the variety in taste throughout our listeners, from pop to punk, my Teddy Swims to Taylor Swift.
