Wanna have some fun all night this evening? Then come and take part in Nerdvana 15!

Nerdvana is an event in which we raise money for multiple charities by putting on multiple fun activities from karaoke to Mario Kart tournaments!

The first charity we are raising money for is Special Effect, a charity that advocates for better inclusion in gaming, as well as creating new technology to improve the lives of people who live with physical challenges. The second charity is YoungMinds. Their goal is to provide easy to approach and accessible mental health support to young people, as well as guidance for family members. Our last charity is the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. UNRWA provides humanitarian aid services on the Gaza Strip, including: healthcare, education and food.

This event is held at the Student Union, linked below on Google Maps. We also want to remind you to act responsibly at this event and abide by the Union and University rules. This includes **NO DRINKING ALCOHOL WHILST AT THE EVENT**!

Apologies for the last minute post, but come down to Wetherspoons tomorrow to celebrate Varsity Wednesday! We’ll have a pint or two, then it’s off to Tokyo Joes and Popworld!

The optional dress code is PureFM colours (purple, whir and blue). No pressure to follow this dress code, it just makes you more distinguishable throughout the night! We hope to see you all there!

Congratulations to our President and Vice President for their wins at the awards on Wednesday!

Charlotte was awarded the Full Colours Award whilst Samuel was awarded the Half Colours Award, both for their dedication and commitment to Pure FM over the past year where the station has relaunched to a live operating station after years of challenges and repairs.

A great evening celebrating our fellow societies and the incredible work students put into their groups beyond their studies!

Fresh from last year’s Eurovision Song Contest and having just released her first EP, Italian singer Alessandra will be joining me for a special first edition of The Ready For The Weekend Show.

Since the contest, her career has taken off, having just come off a headline European tour and being nominated for 2 Norwegian Grammys.

We will be talking about her time on Eurovision, tour life and the brand new EP ‘Best Year Of My Life’.

Pure FM’s latest radio show, Ready For The Weekend, will be starting this Friday. You can catch me every week between 3 PM and 4 PM GMT only on Pure FM.

I (Ed) am going to be your host each week and will be bringing all sorts of new and exciting content to you. It includes your favourite music, guests and lots more coming up in the future.

I wanted to create a show which had its focal point set on live music so you can expect lots to do with that as well as many other features in the future.
