🐴 ⚠️ MOUNTED RURAL PATROL VOLUNTEERS ⚠️🐴

Do you own a horse? Are you a competent rider on rural terrain? Do you have some spare time and would like to be a Police Volunteer in your community?

We are looking for TWO volunteers to cover the New Forest West area, which includes the Ringwood and Fordingbridge areas.

Mounted Rural Patrol Volunteers go out on horseback between 2-15 hours per week within the rural communities of Hampshire and Isle of Wight.

The purpose of the job is to provide high visibility patrols and engage with rural communities.

Key accountabilities include:

• Represent Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary in a professional manner, providing regular and effective service.
• To ensure duty reports and feedback are completed and returned to Country Watch
• All appropriate safety equipment is worn including all kit and equipment provided by us
• Engage in Continued Professional Development when required
• Ensure relevant information and intelligence is shared with local policing teams and Country Watch

Nominated individuals fall into the category of volunteer and the police have an extended insurance policy to cover volunteers who are assisting the police in their duty. Third party insurance cover would therefore be extended to all nominated individuals. It is advised that individuals have their own personal accident insurance cover in relation to riding horses

You must own a horse or have permission from owner of another horse to undertake mounted rural patrols

They drove off with my wheel clamp on ,which broke off on lane, found it.
