Morning everyone 😊 We've got some estate walkabout dates coming up in May that we think you should pop along for:

• Buckland - 15 May
• Portsea - 21 May
• Landport - 27 May

If you live in any of these areas, come along! We'll be looking over the estate to see if anything needs sorting - all you have to do is bring your local knowledge and tell us what you think needs improving on your estate.

These walkabouts are informal, wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly, and usually only take about an hour (if you need to leave early that's fine though!)

This free football and lunch session is free for families that qualify for income related free school meals⚽🍽

Free football and lunch session ay King George V Football Complex!

On Wednesday 19 February, 11am-2pm, Hampshire FA are hosting a free family turn up and play football session, and lunch.

This offer is available to families that qualify for income related free school meals.

Kids can either play football outside or sit and play board games inside until 12.15pm, then there will be a free lunch provided by Creed Foodservice.

This session is unsupervised, which means parents/carers will need to stay with the children throughout the day.

There are a limited number of footballs available, but if you have one it's best to bring your own.

The Community Inclusion Grant scheme is offering funding to support projects that advance equity, challenge inequality, and celebrate diversity in Portsmouth.

Voluntary and community groups can apply for funding to support initiatives that create a more inclusive city, where everyone feels welcome and has equal opportunities.

Eligible projects could focus on:
• Making facilities more accessible
• Attracting a wider and more diverse audience
• Supporting disadvantaged or underrepresented groups

Have you applied for the Family Voucher scheme?

Applications close Friday, 28 February 2025.

The Family Voucher Scheme is open for applications. It's open to households with a total take-home pay of £1,800 or less (the month before applying), with children aged 0-19 that do not qualify for benefits-related free school meals, or where someone in the household is over 20 weeks pregnant.

The scheme is also open to children attending school outside of Portsmouth, home educated children, children in early years settings and children in full time further education. £50 vouchers are offered per eligible child, applications close on 28 February 2025.
