Students can collect their results from the Atrium on Thursday, 22nd August 2024 from 8:30am- 10:00am. We are not operating an appointment type system and so will welcome students and families at any time between these times.

I can’t even put in to words the past two days! 4 shows done and dusted. I don’t think I’ve ever been so tired yet still so absolutely full of pride for every single student who crossed that stage and performed their hearts out.
Whilst I will do a big post later, once Im not dead on my feet, but I just want to give a huge thank you to everyone who supported, on stage, behind the scenes, in rehearsals, in the tech room and everyone watching. Seeing our students up there makes everything worth it!

Today our talented High School Musical cast performed for year 5 and year 6 students from The Victory Primary School and then this evening for a fabulous audience of over 100 and the feedback already had just been amazing! Tomorrow they will be performing for Beacon View Primary Academy and then their final
Evening performance to friends and family. Proud is an understatement right now! If you haven’t got your tickets you are missing out! Goooo Wildcats

Show week is almost here! Final costumes have just been finished, all props have arrived and the set is almost complete. Have you got your tickets yet? Tickets for Wednesdays performance must be purchased before 4pm Tuesday. Tickets will NOT be available on the door or on the day of the performance so please ensure you have purchased them in advance.

What a busy July we have coming up. Have you purchased tickets yet for our Summer Music Showcase taking place on the 10th July? How about tickets to our Summer Production of High School Musical which is happening on the 17th and 18th July? We can’t wait to share all of the hard work our students have been putting in this term with you all. Tickets to all events are available on Arbor now! Get them before it’s too late.

A fabulous display of Art and Creative Media work is now on display in the school atrium. Featuring work from all year groups, it will remain on display during both the Musical Showcase and Summer Musical production for parents to come and view.

OPENING TOMORROW EVENING
The Art and Creative Media departments at Castle View Academy Portsmouth, present their 2024 exhibition, celebrating the amazing work of our talented students from Year 7 right through to Year 11. There will be a preview event Monday 1st July from 5-6pm in the Main Atrium of the school, but the exhibition will also be on display at the Music Event on the 10th and High School Musical performances on the 17th and 18th July. We hope you can come and celebrate the talent within CVA at one of the above events.

We are so super proud of these two amazing yet slightly crazy teachers who were both awarded Long Service Awards tonight at the Portsmouth Guildhall. Mr Beck and Mrs Nutland have been and continue to be a huge inspiration within the Professional Studies team not just to the students they teach but to all of us staff too. We are so proud of you both. Here’s to the next panto 😜

Sport teaches us how to lead📣

Research shows that female executives are more likely to have played sports than those in non-leadership roles.

They are also more likely to hire other women who have played a sport.

The research also found👉
📊 74% of female execs believe playing sport can help accelerate a woman's career potential

🏅 The top three leadership skills developed by sport are considered to be: ability to see projects through completion, motivational skills and team-building

✅ 52% of C-suite executives played sport at university level or above

It's important to recognise that the opportunity to play sport is not given to all women, and that economic, social and cultural factors all have a role to play here as well as opportunities to play sport.

But the stats are clear: girls who play sport become women who lead.

Message from Mrs Nutland

Prom Rail Update - another beautiful dress collected and three more lads suits out on loan this evening. We are still collecting formal wear for both ladies and gents, as well as accessories such as bags, shoes, ties and hair accessories. We should hopefully have enough outfits to ensure that all CVA students can afford to attend their prom - I simply do not have the words to explain how much this will mean to future generations of our students. I have simply been over-whelmed by the generosity of our local community and those further out and I thank each and every one of you, on our students behalf 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Year 11 CVA Students. Going to prom but not got your outfit yet? Contact Mrs Nutland asap. We have dresses in all shapes, sizes and styles, shoes, tiaras, bags and even a number of three piece suits, ties and shoes for the boys.

All we are asking is for a £40 deposit then wear the outfit to prom, get it dry cleaned and return it for that £40 to be returned.

Cost no longer has to be an issue. Contact Mrs Nutland

Mrs Nutland and the amazing community of CVA/KRS have really done us proud!! The donations we have received are just amazing and we are now able to support students to go to prom who may not have been able to afford to go. We have been blown away by the generosity of our community. These will be a resource available to students for many years to come. Thank you!!
