Another big thank you is in order.

This time we say "salute" to Infiniti Properties for their kind donation of 13 redundant computers from their Glasgow offices.
(I have stepped up my picture-taking efforts to support this celebration.)

The response so far has been unbelievable and we will continue to ramp up our efforts to secure funding and rehouse as many of these machines for free as possible.

We are hugely grateful for every device that is donated to this scheme. Each device once fully tested and refurbished will be repurposed for local duties serving our community in one of two ways...

- Donated for free to people in need in Inverclyde through one of our funded programmes.

- Listed for sale at cost in our re-furbished online store.

Our re-furbished store will allow local businesses, families and individuals to purchase a computer for much less than a brand-new one, which is not just a win for the pocket, but a win for the environment as well.

Another batch of old IT devices destined for landfill brought back in from the cold for a cuppa.

Huge thanks to Michael the IT support at PG Paper Company Ltd for getting in touch last week to find out more about the scheme and how to help. This smashing donation of 16 desktops. 3 laptops and 3 Surface Pro's will get fully refurbished and repurposed for good in Inverclyde. Thanks again Michael.

Ps Also a bit of a personal touch for me as the CEO Puneet Gupta was an old school friend of mine :-)

Nothing brightens up a rainy Monday morning better than welcomed donations of old unused IT. Many many thanks to William,David and the team at Branchton Community Centre for their kind donation of 3 computers and 16 monitors. What a fantastic effort we will get these back supporting the local community as quickly as we can.

Big big THANK YOU to CalMac Ferries for donating 15 redundant computers to our Digiask Zero Waste Tech Pledge Initiative from their Customer Engagement Centre in Gourock.

These machines will be refurbished and repurposed to help both people and businesses facing hardship in Inverclyde. We really appreciate your support

Half Minute Life Hacks #2

Here's Stu (and Link, one of the DigiAsk cats) with a quick 30 second tutorial on how to put a virtual background on your zoom meetings.

Although there are obvious comedy purposes, we've been using a virtual background to make it look like we're in a recording studio when teaching live music sessions remotely in schools.

This gives the session an extra bit of flair, and removes any need to tidy your house!
