Fatea Lifetime Achievement Award
Oysterband
Fatea is proud to announce that the Lifetime Achievement award for 2025 goes to the Oysterband. From The Oyster Ceilidh Band, through the Oyster Band and now as Oysterband this recognises not only the consistency of great releases, including two albums with June Tabor, but also the contribution the band have made to the broader folk and music community, through their support of up and coming acts and their support of many social causes over the years.

Recognising Achievement in 2025

Fatea is proud to announce the shortlists for the Fatea Awards. The awards are nominated by the Fatea team and recognise excellence over 2025.

The full list of nominees can be found at:
https://www.fatea-records.co.uk/magazine/news/Nominees2025/

Each award has a shortlist of three and we congratulate all artists on our shortlist as well as the many others that were nominated and every artist and band that released music or performed live during 2025.

No artist is allowed to win more than one award and all have featured in the magazine during the last year. The nominations are listed in random order.

We also have two special awards, Innovative Projects & Lifetime Achievement. Whilst Life Time Achievement speaks for itself, The Innovative Projects Award looks at unusual collaborations and community activity

The winners of the Fatea Awards will be announced during a two hour radio special, this year hosted by Folk Friday Radio on January 11th at 7PM(GMT).
