Riduna Radio's DJ's and one of our volunteers are aiming to complete the Alderney 5 Bays in 5 Days swimming challenge on Friday this week, but in just 1 hour to raise money for the Alderney Cancer Relief Charity.
Our goal is to raise £2000 towards this highly worth while charity that supports the relatives of cancer patients who have to stay off island during their loved ones treatment.
Starting at 3pm on Braye Beach, then moving on to Saye, Arch, Corblets and finally Longis, they aim to complete the challenge by dropping into the radio during the L&G Show that is returning at 4pm in support of Graham Walker who was diagnosed with throat cancer 6 weeks ago.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that the highly popular L&G Show will be returning to our airwaves this Friday at 4pm.
As everyone will know, Graham is having a little battle with the Big C, but as a former Royal Military Police Officer, he is busy winning that battle.
We cannot be more excited about Graham & Liz returning to where they belong for a one hour special to see how Graham and his 'kazoo' get on.
With Cancer Awareness Week kicking off, their return could not be better timed.

Colin Partridge talks Spitfires and HMS Rodney on The Breakfast Show
Alderney's renowned historian, Colin Partridge is dropping into The Breakfast Show at 8.30 to chat to Ian about the Spitfire Air Display happening over Platte Saline on the 80th anniversary of HMS Rodney's bombardment of Alderney on the 12th August 1944.
75 one ton shells rained down on German gun emplacements while Spitfire spotter planes were used to assess the damage.

Known for her artistic flair, Sarah Chambers has been coming up with the creative window displays for Riduna Radio in 2024.
Sarah’s efforts were justly rewarded today when the Riduna Radio window display was judged for their Alderney Week display.
Sarah’s window features a nod to the Step Back In Time theme for Alderney Week taking you through the many generations since Alderney Week started in 1948 and of course the islands world famous Wombles.
Huge congratulation to Sarah from the rest of the Team.
