The South West Graduate Photography Prize is an annual showcase of photography graduates curated by Fotonow. The aim of the prize is to shine a light on the creative practice of artists in the South West region and to nurture new opportunities. This workshop is for anyone who wants to make some pictures and connect with the Dartmoor landscape through play. Here, the process is more important than the outcome.

FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY

Prime Skatepark is hosting the preview of ‘Ramps and Reels’ film made by Fotonow (Zoe Bloss & Sam Smith) over the Summer of 2024. Plus a sharing of Tobie Loates’s ongoing series ‘Ocean City Sk8’ community portraits. The film and exhibition focus on diverse identities and give voice to the skate community who ride both Central Skatepark and the indoor Prime Skatepark.

The ambition is to challenge negative stereotypes associated with skate and scooting, sharing the rich culture and tight-knit community that thrives in Plymouth and underscores its inclusivity

FOTO WALK LONDON

As part of Fotonow’s ‘South West Graduate Photography Prize 2024’ exhibition at the Photo Book Cafe (London) the team will be running a creative guided wellbeing FOTO WALK around the streets of London.
Starting at 12pm at the Photo Book Cafe participants will enjoy making new connections with people and place during a 2 hour walk around the city.

The session will start with introductions over a coffee / tea (included in the £12 fee for joining) and sharing of planning route (and mobile number of our lead photographer).
Our group will return by 2.30pm to share images and if willing pass onto the Fotonow team favourites that can be celebrated at a later date. Anyone with access needs or additional support taking part please do get in touch and we’ll look to make this event work for you!

You’ll also need to bring your camera or smartphone!!
