We were absolutely devastated when we heard the news of the fire that hit independent British indie rock musician Malco's storage and practice building.
Katie shared a practice space in Birmingham with friends, her band members, and all their other bands including Mt. Yonder, To The Wall, S.T Manville, Howard James Kenny, The Broken Oak Duet as well as a professional drummer, James Burgess.
On 17 July the building that contained the lock-up unit with all of their gear inside caught on fire. The smoke could be seen from the M6 and Coventry and caused huge disruptions and an unbelievable amount of damage.
Once the fire was finally under control, a demolition crew had to be dispatched to tear down what was now an unsafe building.
Katie and her bandmates had only a few minutes to salvage a fraction of their beloved instruments from the flooded unit before the building was demolished. The majority of what could be salvaged is damaged and in need of repair, and sadly a huge number of guitars, amps, pedals, drums and their shared PA system have been severely damaged or destroyed.
As well as the enormous sentimental value of their instruments, their collective financial losses due to the fire total are devastating. They have calculated they need to raise a minimum of £17,000 to replace the basics needed to get back on the road touring again, and importantly to earn a living.
Being an independent musician has always been challenging, so at DMS, we try to support artists in every way possible, especially those facing difficult times. To assist Katie, we have directly contributed to her cause and will be pressing vinyl and CDs free of charge for her tour. We hope these efforts will help her quickly get her music ventures back on track.

This 2012 re-issue is a must-have for all indie rock fans. The eponymous track originally featured on the 'Bloc Party EP', before featuring again on the timeless, 'Silent Alarm'! That makes these singles a window into indie history, if you ask us. 👀
A great way to make a release stand out is to go for a die-cut sleeve, and creating a shape that is totally unique to your release! ✂️
This is exactly what Mondo did for the soundtrack to the Netflix series, The Queen's Gambit. Not to mention having super cool Moon Phase effect records, of course! We think this is a 'gambit' that definitely paid off. ♟
Science-Fiction Epic, Dune: Part Two, undoubtedly has one of the soundtracks of the year (in our humble opinion)! So, did we enjoy pressing this one for the guys at Made by Mutant? You bet we did! ☄️
To create the colossal quad-fold sleeve, we designed not one, but TWO parts of a gatefold that would be stuck together to lovingly display the awesome inner artwork by Greg Ruth. The quad-fold sleeve pictured is also the home to two 12" LPs that utilise the DD Galaxy effect expertly. These misty records are a perfect call-back to the vast, sandy expanses of Arrakis!
For those who like CDs, don't worry. We re-created the quad-fold with an equally awesome 8-Panel digifile.
If there is one way to do a 20th anniversary release, it is with a super cool splatter release!

One of the best bits about making vinyl, is being able to work with a wide range of bands and artists. This super cool record is for G4 Official, who rose to fame in the original series of X Factor, and are since going stronger than ever. Congratulations on making an awesome records lads 😎

Fantastic indie-pop band HUNNY BUZZ did just that, pressing their EP "Welcome To Our Garden" on lucky-dip eco-mix vinyl. Apart from being eco, whats so awesome about this, is that every record is different, so each fan received their own unique copy of the EP!

With it being peak festival season, we thought we would dig out a record from one of our favourite festival acts, Tankus the Henge!
We had the pleasure of pressing their latest album, "Luna Park!" on a double LP, with an amazing etching to side D and a booklet with the dopest artwork going. An instant classic.
Having rocked Glastonbury last weekend, we highly recommend catching them at a festival this summer, as they'll be touring all over Europe. We love Tankus!!

If you are a fan of Panchiko like we are, then you'll know how many epic vinyl versions there are out there of their smash hit album "D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L".
For the latest vinyl edition, the concept was to have a die-cut sleeve to show off the picture disc and the inner artwork design THROUGH an ultra clear record, topped off with a see-through bellyband! Pure genius we reckon...

The latest release from S**t Present comes finely pressed on our #29 Pink Robots vinyl! The band and Specialist Subject Records put their heads together for this Indie Punk joint, and we dig the contrast of a black & white insert in a full-colour sleeve. It really completes the mood of this EP. 🤟

A great idea that inspires the chosen vinyl effect can properly complete a physical release. In this instance, Ash & The Subways' "Oh Yeah Squared" pays splattered homage to the original 7" singles which came out on white (for The Subways) and yellow (for Ash). It was a marvellous idea, we reckon!
This record is limited to 1000 copies and will NEVER be repressed, so we were grateful to be a part of its journey. 😁

Akira Ifukube's score to the 1970 Kaiju classic, Space Amoeba, backdrops a story about germ-like beings that crash land on a tropical island in the Pacific. ⛱
That's why we love how the splatters - chosen from our Neon Colours range - act as 'comets' that shoot across the record. The base of the tri-colour stripe record is pressed in #20 Aquamarine & #14 White Rabbit, and we think it shows off those streaks of neon colour in awesome fashion!
🌊 As a crew of creatives based in the Ocean City of Britain, William Doyle's 'Springs Eternal' is a record that speaks to us - especially on topics like Climate Change.
Released via our good friends at Tough Love Records, Doyle's optimistic pop-inspired record is one to display after every listen! Our copy is the #38 Blue Bayou variant, and the contrast against that bright orange sleeve does it for us nicely! 🔵🟠
