The window box is coming alive now, a row of beautiful Tulips. I can’t wait to see their mix of colours again, especially the white and pink flowers they’re my favourite!🌷👩🏼‍🌾

My beautiful Stargazer Lily has started to sprout again for the second year! I think this Autumn I’ll repot her into a bigger & deeper pot, the one she’s in was just temporary. Repotting will give me a chance to check the condition of the bulb too considering she wasn’t in the best of states when I brought her home. I’ll then be able to decide whether I leave her for another year or so, split the bulb or take some scales to propagate.

Ideally I’d be able to just split the bulbs up into smaller clumps and pot them up but if needs be I’ll propagate the scales. I only managed to save this one bulb from my late mother in law who had loads of Lilys, so I’d like to be able to keep it going with daughter plants. 🌸👩🏼‍🌾

The new growing season is almost upon us and the first seasons visit to was for seed Potato’s & Shallots. I love our local garden centre choice, there’s so many! This year I’ve gone for my usual and trusty Red Duke of York but I’m also trying a variety I’ve not grown before called Casablanca. I’ll be getting these out to chit and into the ground very soon! I can’t wait🥔👩🏼‍🌾

Happy New Year
2024!

I’d like to take a moment to thank you all for sticking around whilst I’ve been completely absent from social media.
2023 has been a rather hard year but, I’ll be back in 2024! I have a new plot, a renewed love for my plants and I cannot wait to get started! See you all very soon!
Thanks, Kelly!

Potatoes all dug up and collected by my 11 year old daughter with only one casualty that got pitchforked! They're a good all-rounder so we're in for some tasty meals, my daughter can't wait!

I don't think they'll last too long but they'll be stored in a cool place in a cardboard box so that they can breathe and they'll stay unwashed too until needed.🥔👩🏼‍🌾

My Stargazer Lily has flowered and she's absolutely beautiful. It's taken 6 months since I brought the bulb home not sure that it was even alive anymore. Thanks to some really good advice from Instagram, she made it. She's in a smaller pot at the moment, but I think once the foliage dies back I'll transfer to a much bigger pot and hope for the bulb to multiply!🌸👩🏼‍🌾

Is there any better sight than this, I absolutely love Peapods they're my favorite crop! They're so much sweeter than the supermarket ones, no matter the size of the peas. I can't wait for more to be ready!🫛👩🏼‍🌾

The Lily that was rescued from my late mother in laws garden in January is looking like it might open soon. It's the first thing I remember seeing when I first went to her home right back in 2013! 'm so glad I could save one!👩🏼‍🌾

Propagating Roses🌹
My beloved Rosa Mundi which I've been growing for the last 9 years is looking a little worse for wear so emergency situations call for emergency measures!

Ive taken a cutting of the most healthy looking branch at 45 degrees, coated it in rooting powder, covered it with my mini greenhouse (lidless bottle) and crossed my fingers! I' also took two cuttings from a Rose bush from my parents house that's been there for years! So I'll either have 3 brand new Rose plants or some dead stems within the next 2/3 weeks!

I used my trusty secateurs, still razor sharp after 4 years & rooting hormone!
