Drove 340 miles today and saw 7 other Kia EV6s. They're becoming more common.
3 red, 3 black and 1 white.

Longer trip tomorrow. Will definitely get there without charging but will need to stop somewhere on the way home for 15 mins or so. Think I'll come home via the Peak District too, enjoy the views and the roads!

I predicted that I'd get home this evening with between 45 & 50% when I left this morning. And there it is 49%. I do love the reliability and predictability of this car.

Charged to 90% overnight. Just the usual commute , Peterborough to Dunstable and back today. Should have around 45% - 50% remaining when I return later.

Charged at Garth Pier in the morning before heading home. A little more costly than stopping at Tesla Trentham on the way back, but more convenient.

Ended up stopping for a short time at the Trentham Tesla charge points.

Not sure it was worth the hassle though. Took ages to get to and from, off the route (due mostly to traffic) and of course slow charge for an 800v car.

200 mile trip to Bangor in Wales today. Do I stop and do a little charge on the way? Or just wait until I get there. Slightly cheaper on the way.

As of September 2024, new data shows that battery electric vehicles (BEVs) made up around 22% of new car sales in the UK. To put that in perspective, just a few years ago in 2019, EVs accounted for less than 2% of new car sales! That’s a huge leap, and it’s still on the up.

Back from the London trip. Used 44 kWh in total to do the 137 miles. Temperature was between 0-5C. On my overnight electricity tariff that works out as £3.08.

Charged to 100%, about to head off for a day trip to London. For my daughter’s birthday. Remaining energy in battery showing on CarScanner as 68352 Wh.
