📣 Shoutout to all the awesome women that I have had the privilege to meet and connect with. I’d like to give a special shoutout this International Women’s Day to one particular person…

She is someone who is kind, passionate and always there and has time for you no matter how busy she is. Smart and funny and a lover of life, she has a way to make you smile and feel better especially on bad days. She lets you see the light at the end of every tunnel. Love and light is her gift and wears her heart on her sleeve.

That person is my beautiful big sister - love you to the moon and back 😘.

Watching reels is so addictive so I've had to discipline myself & cut down my 'reels research time' to avoid a thumb injury!!

Want to know how to make scroll-stopping reels?

The answer is simple - take a note of why YOU stop scrolling on other ppl's reels and apply the same to your own reels!

Here’s some basic must-have reel ingredients to help stop the scroll:

🐝 Hook ppl in the all important 1st 3 seconds of your reel with either a text hook or eye-catching visuals
🐝 Use trending audio (it does help!)
🐝 Deliver on any expectations/promises made in your text hook (niche-related works much better!)
🐝 Be entertaining / inspiring / educational with value
🐝 Add a strong relevant call-to-action (CTA) to get ppl to engage with your post!

Photos, videos, carousels, but also reels, stories or even lives…when you publish content on Instagram, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to content format!

So you might be wondering:

What’s the best type of post for my Instagram account?

Well, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to that. It all depends on what you want to achieve and who you want to reach. The key is to keep it fresh, mix it up, experiment and see what works. Your community is your best guide, so pay attention to how they react to your content.

But if you need some general tips, here’s what I suggest:

🐝For personal branding: the feed is your friend. Show off your personality, your style, your values, and your story with eye-catching photos.

🐝To increase the organic reach of your publications: reels (ie videos!) are the real deal. They’re short, catchy, and fun, and they can help you reach new audiences and go viral (🤞🏾).

🐝To increase engagement: carousels, stories and lives are the way to go. They’re interactive, authentic, and personal, and they can help you build trust and loyalty with your followers.

Oh WOW 😲 If this isn't the universe's way of nudging me to start posting on my OWN social media accounts again, then I don't know what is! 😁🙏🏽

Interesting times ahead for Instagram with regards to native scheduling tools 🧰. Hope we can finally schedule reels natively!!! 🤞🤞🤞

Have you heard the news?! 💥 Instagram has *finally* begun testing a Live Producer tool to GO LIVE from your DESKTOP computer using various third-party streaming software platforms!! 🥳🎬 Hurrah!!

Alas, the tool is in very limited testing mode so far, and it's not clear when Instagram will roll it out to more users. 😕

But, do you know how long Instagram has had this desktop streaming API?! Pretty sure since June 20, 2018 - the day that Instagram cofounder and former CEO Kevin Systrom streamed LIVE from a fancy influencer event in Anaheim, CA to launch IGTV. 😲📺 I've always wondered what took them so long to open up desktop streaming! Check out the replay of that event here: https://www.instagram.com/tv/BkQjCfsBIzi/ - you can see they're using television quality professional cameras... not mobile phones to stream!

“If you had one wish to eliminate your biggest struggle around (your niche), what would it be?”

Asking this question can help shape your business, get inspiration for your content AND create opportunities to really engage with your audience all in one post!

How?

🐝 You can get inside your audience’s head to know *exactly* what they are struggling with.
🐝 Gain content ideas… ideas that will deeply resonate with your audience that you can help problem solve for them with your content!
🐝 Give you the opportunity to engage with your audience meaningfully and authentically when you respond to their comments.

So give it a go. Add this magic question to your content plan this week and see what insightful rewards you can gain from it!

One way to organize your content and establish your niche is to use content pillars. ⁠⁠

Content pillars help your followers to recognize what your expertise is. ⁠⁠

They help you to stay focused on your brand instead of jumping around between many different topics.⁠⁠

If you are following your insights or using your stories, it also helps you to determine what your followers and ideal customers like by understanding which topics they connect with the most. ⁠⁠

WHAT IS YOUR "WHY" ? Good question!

🐝Successful small businesses and entrepreneurs are those who have clearly identified their goals and can answer WHY they’re doing WHAT they do (i.e. sell products or offer services).

🐝In doing business, by understanding your Why, you will be more accessible to network with people who share the same beliefs.

🐝Your WHY inspires your audience and makes them willing to spread your message and take action with you.

Examples of inspirational business' WHY statements:
🐝 Airbnb: To connect millions of people in real life all over the world, through a community marketplace - so that you can Belong Anywhere.
🐝 Disney: We create happiness, by providing the finest in entertainment for people of all ages, everywhere.
🐝 Etsy: Keep commerce human
🐝 IKEA: To create a better everyday life for many people
🐝 DigiBeeSocial: Helping business owners and entrepreneurs create a bigger buzz 🐝 on social media to save time and grow with less effort!
