And hello to the newest followers who have joined in the recent months. Hey, Hi, Welcome, I'm so glad you're here.

I'm Eliza and I run Penporth Marketing, a company that offers marketing services, social media strategy and trainings for small businesses and freelancers who are looking to level-up their business in the digital world!

3 THINGS YOU SHOULD BE SHARING ON SOCIAL MEDIA //

First Off - Save this to come back to when you need a reminder on what to post!

It can be really hard to make time for posting on your social media account when you're already working really hard in the day-to-day running of your business.

So, here are my top three tips to help you streamline social media posting:

1. You need to post content about your customers’ struggles with highlighted solutions your business can offer to solve their problem/s.

2. You need to be consistent with your posting. The algorithm and your followers will both notice this. Consistent posting shows a business to be trustworthy and stable. It doesn’t matter whether this us 1x or 5x a week. Decide on a manageable number and stick to it.

3. You need to show off more than just your products or services. Customers want to invest in you, not just your service. Show your face, give your followers updates on your work week or funny reels from day-to-day life in the office.

ARE HASHTAGS STILL WORTH USING? //

THE ANSWER IS YES!

But, here's what you need to know....

📈 Platform-Specific Savvy: Every platform has it's own way of
using hashtags. Instagram and Twitter love multiple relevant tags,
while LinkedIn prefers a more refined use of them. It's important to stay up
to date with how each digital platform uses them!

📈 Quality Over Quantity: Quality content will always do more for your posts.
Use fewer, but more exact, specific hashtags that align with
your content and speak to those searching your chosen hashtags. 🎯

📈 Niche Up: Diving into the world of specific,
long-tail hashtags can lead you to an audience that's
passionate about your niche. Explore what hashtags work
best with yout business and make a list of them in a document!

Social media moves quickly! The more up to date you are with
hashtag trends and usage, the better use they'll be in your digital strategy.

A visit to @erthretreat ✨ After meeting Polly from @erthretreat and @the_retreat_academy at a @girlsincornwallbusiness event earlier this year… I got in touch to arrange a visit to meet at her beautiful home and retreat event space. From the moment you get to gates with the cattle grid at the top of the hill you know you’ve found somewhere special. No roads or cars in sight. Just glorious views of Port Elliot, the estuary and farmers fields. After catching up and having a cup of tea, Polly and Shaun were kind enough to give us (plus @haymakermarketing) a tour. And this is what I loved about the place… 🌞Remote and super calming for the soul. 🌞You’re surrounded by history everywhere (Jacobian history to be exact). 🌞The chapel is just breathtaking (a yogi’s dream). 🌞It’s based on a regenerative farm so you’re surrounded by nature EVERYWHERE. 🌞Every room in the retreat house has been designed to perfection. A place you’d want to stay! 🌞 Shaun has built the loveliest Shepard huts you can rent for a holiday with views of Port Elliot. 🌞 They have an outdoor kitchen in the swallow barn which you can image the best dinner parties happening at.
