A few months ago my back was in a bad way. I was genuinely worried that I was going to have to stop the gym and, even worse, my biking. However I've persevered, learned some stuff about backs and rehab, and ultimately the importance of remaining positive and understanding that bodies repair and things can and do get better.
If you have back issues please ignore the folks telling you to stop back squatting, or stop deadlifting. Back problems are way more complex than this and training strength is really important. If in doubt, go and check out @adammeakins who takes a research-driven approach to lifting and recovery.
Anyways, here is a baseline 5 rep max on a deadlift to see if I can improve it over the next 6 weeks. 5 x 105kg π
