Digging Crates - Glass Cages
Youāve seen the pics, watched the movie... now hear the music!
Inner Peace Records proudly present to you; "Glass Cages", the first single from the Digging Crates EP which will be released at a funky ass event in Oxford next Saturday 11th June.
We heard thereās some sort of #jubilee #celebration going on this weekend but to be honest, weāve been too busy working on this to notice. We managed to get it ready for you just in time so you've got a chance to learn the words before the gig, we hope we arenāt interrupting anything...
Just 9 days to go until the #DiggingCrates team launch the EP which has been in the works since Rawz, Reejai Music, King Boyden, Call.Me.Tiece, @TangthePilgrim and Tiger spent four days making music in the @PittRiversMuseum exploring and sampling the #African instrument collection alongside a team of African musicians which included Tangās famous dad Boni Wanda.
On June 11th at @Ovada.gallery the team will be performing the whole EP in itās entirety for the first time ever, supported by Boni and his band WANDA-NA-KL, the night will also include a special spoken word set from Rawz accompanied by Mbira player Miles Ncube.
This is set to be a evening not to be missed, you can still get your tickets from the @OCMevents website or @Eventbrite but hurry, because they are going pretty darn quick!
Youāll find a link in the comments section.
Canāt wait to see your smiling faces and dancing feet Lovers, itās been too long!

So proud to have one of our young recruits performing at a sold out show @ Sheldonian Theatre last night - His beat being played by members of the BBC Philharmonic alongside students of University of Oxford. and alongside the wonderful Call.Me.Tiece.
Thanks to BBC Music Introducing In Oxfordshire's Incredible Liz Green, and TORCH - The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities and of course the wonderful KatieMelua.eu for making this all happen!
Opportunities like this can help change the lives of young people! We need to keep investing in and nurturing Oxfords home grown talent!
