💎Being *true to you* is where it's at.
💎 With authenticity - and by that I mean being 110% yourself, knowing what you're offering the world, and immersing yourself in work that truly brings you joy - you'll thrive - I guarantee it!
💎 You ARE a gem and a particularly rare one at that: there's only one of you in the universe... so why try and be like anyone else?
Don't think I haven't been through the same predicament.
Until not too long ago, I was struggling with tasks that I felt I should bosh through, I wasn't talking about it because I was truly believing it was my lack of ability holding me back.
I felt like I wasn't good enough. I was convinced I'd chosen the wrong path: that I was at a dead-end and couldn't see where to go next.
I now know that I'd become disengaged because I wasn't getting that reward or value that you get from following a path of JOY. I figured out I needed:
#1. to bring people together to enjoy epic experiences.
#2. to move away from routine and strict working hours.
#3. to use my creative thinking at work.
#4. to be heard, respected, and valued.
For perhaps the first in my life I can truly say I am consistently proud of where I am and what I'm doing.
⁉️If you're still with me, riddle me this. When was the last time you thought about what's important to YOU? Try and remain mindful of it:
💎 Notice when you feel that particular buzz - butterflies, hyper, talking fast, loving life.
💎 Jot down what's caused it - what were you doing, where, and who with. (I don't mean necessarily a buzz at work, I started to notice my joy when I was organising birthday parties for my friends, for instance)
💎 Start to notice patterns; where the magic lies.
💎 Is there a common topic arising? Are there other ways you may be able to replicate that in a work environment?
