Going back to school...kind of! 🎓 We’re excited to announce our collaboration with Velocity Academy as Becka Roversi embarks on the Level 4 Marketing Manager course this September.

Many of you know Becka's journey: she started with a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies, transitioned into secondary teaching for twelve years, and then made a successful career switch to digital marketing. While she has thrived in her new role, she sought an official qualification to bolster her expertise.

For the past six months, the What's Your Story team has proudly collaborated with Community Learning Partnerships to elevate awareness of their impactful work in Leeds.

Our journey together began when Cathy Burns attended the Network B2B meeting and connected with Debbie Hardy. Since then, we have supported the charity’s rebranding efforts and consistently highlighted their remarkable initiatives by attending events and participating in meetings.

Recently, Cathy took part in a photoshoot for their Let's Read programme. This initiative, based in Leeds, recruits volunteers to help improve literacy among schoolchildren. By addressing the correlation between deprivation and poor educational outcomes, Let's Read strives to enhance literacy levels. Volunteers from both the business sector and the community visit local schools to support children struggling with reading and language skills. Their efforts empower these children to become confident, capable readers, thereby unlocking access to quality education and helping them reach their full potential.
