Many people mix up Lunar New Year and Chinese New Year, but they’re not the same!
Lunar New Year is celebrated across several Asian cultures, like in Vietnam, Korea, and Singapore, each with its own traditions. Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival, is China’s unique celebration within Lunar New Year, with red envelopes, lion dances, and symbolic foods.
While they share similarities, Chinese New Year is just one part of the bigger Lunar New Year festivities!

The founder of hit Manchester burger spot Almost Famous has announced the closure of all its sites.
In an update issued this morning, owner Beau Myers confirmed the closure of its sites across Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds.
Explaining the reason for the closure of the brand he cited the current economic climate and 'lingering debt'.
Owner Beau Myers first launched Almost Famous in Manchester's Northern Quarter back in 2012 - pioneering the "dirty burger" trend in the city and sparking queues around the block from hungry punters desperate to get inside. He closed the brand's Withington site last year.
As well as the Northern Quarter site closing, Almost Famous' site at Great Northern will close. It's two other sites in Liverpool and Leeds will also close

From its humble beginnings as a slum in the late 1700s to the vibrant cultural hub it is today, Manchester’s Chinatown is steeped in rich history.
Once home to empty cotton warehouses during the 1860s Cotton Famine, the area was transformed in the 1970s as Chinese businesses and restaurants, like the iconic Kwok Man and Yang Sing, moved in.
And let’s not forget the stunning Chinatown Gate! Gifted in 1987 and shipped from Beijing, it’s now one of Manchester’s most photographed landmarks, symbolizing luck, prosperity, and unity.
