I’ve been setting aside oyster shells all year for this weekend at the Oban Winter Festival’s Winter Woods. They’ve been washed, scrubbed and dried ready for crafting. This year I have a new plan for them to decorate your Christmas tree!

Our visitors to the farm did not have a sunny day - chilly wind coming down the Loch but I think they enjoyed their time learning about the farm and definitely the shucking and eating of oysters was a great success!

Already looks amazing in the dark. Looking forward to seeing it with its lights on!

Oban - You are AMAZING! The Creel Tree is built, the lights are being strung....ready for the big OBAN CREEL TREE SWITCH-ON - come along this Friday at 4.45pm, to the green outside Markie Dans (you'll know where - it has a giant Creel Tree there!)

After the lights switch on we will proceed with the Oban Winter Festival Opening Parade leaving the area at 5pm on schedule.

Have you seen the Creel Tree - it's HUGE, and it is going to be INCREDIBLE. We have so many people and businesses to thank for helping get this project from idea to fruition. We hope you are as proud of Oban's newest landmark, and are excited to see the first Christmas Creel Tree switch on of 2025!
