We recycle and reuse oyster bags - some are more than 30 years old! But when they really are too broken there is nowhere to recycle them - only landfill 😞.

We are exploring the creation of a small-scale, solar-powered plastic recycling facility on the west coast of Scotland. The aim is to repurpose High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) waste, such as aquaculture gear, farm plastics, and household items, into useful products like fence posts, 2x4s, bricks, and garden materials. Your responses will help us understand the needs of local communities, farmers, businesses, and individuals. This information will support funding applications and guide us in producing the most useful products. Thank you for taking the time to contribute to this initiative. Oban Hospice Whisky Tasting Event at the Argyllshire Gathering on Friday 31st October. We invite you to join us for an exclusive whisky-tasting experience benefiting Oban Hospice Dove Services. Enjoy a curated selection of Scotland's finest whiskies, expertly paired with local farmed Caledonian Oyster's and a selection of fine cheeses, while supporting a wonderful cause.
