Happy Friday all! We've made it to the end of another week!
This week's F.F.F is a bit of a special one for me.
I initially fell in love with ADHD_love_ , drawn to the warm personalities of Rox and Lee; enjoying their content and feeling like I had some kind of new friends; as well as learning (and resonating) along the way.
Then I discovered that Rox was a musician under the pseudonym, RØRY. I listened to songs like "Alternative" and "Family Tree" and instantly felt emotional. Not only were the songs freaking amazing, but I could relate to the lyrics on a deep level; sometimes regressing and reminiscing to a 10 year old and 15 year old me respectfully.
And, thus, my adoration for RØRY was born.
Not only is she a great musician but she just seems like the most beautiful human soul. She's open, vulnerable, supportive and just all round down to Earth. So much so, I feel that I would actually be a little bit emotional meeting her; more so than my beloved Supernatural cast!
She's just the sort of person that you wish could be your friend. And, despite not knowing her, you feel a sense of pride in her achievements and recovery over the years.
Sadly, I had to miss her show in March due to a clash but I'm sorely hoping to catch her again when she's on tour.
Rox isn't a new musician, having been on the scene for over a decade, but really seems to have exploded since 2022 or so, and for good reason! And, even better, she's a Brit 🇬🇧
"Blossom" is one of RØRY's more recent releases but it is a kickass, empowering anthem about growth and proving people wrong that I've just held very close of late. 💙
