‼️ Northern Irish racing legend Jeremy McWilliams has become one of the first public athletes to fall victim to KTM's self-administration.

After 15 years at KTM as a test rider and within a technical development role, as reported by Speedweek, the contract was initially valid until the end of 2025 has been terminated with immediate effect.

🏆 McWilliams, who has one of the longest reigning careers upon his current grid in MotoAmerica as a pilot in the race series 'King of the Baggers' has a CV that includes MotoGP, British Superbikes, North West 200 and more.

🔶 A DARK DAY FOR ORANGE: KTM workers reported to go unpaid over Christmas

📰 Reports coming from Austria have announced that wages promised to be paid in December by KTM will likely go unpaid until 2025.

KTM had promised a 90% advance on December pay to its employees, but has since altered that promise, leaving the payment of wages meant for December until 2025 under the responsibility of the insolvency compensation fund.

🗣️ The Upper Austrian Chamber of Labour reports: “Before Christmas, KTM wanted to transfer a 90 percent advance of December wages and salaries to the employees. This had been assured to the employees. However, nothing will come of it now! The insolvent company from Mattighofen is apparently unable to carry out the promised transfers.”

🗣️ President of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labour Andreas Stangl, also said: “Now the November wages and salaries as well as the Christmas bonus have not been paid. And now, shortly before Christmas, this news!

“There is simply no more handshake quality in the management of KTM.”

“We will now do everything we can to ensure that employees quickly receive their claims from the insolvency remuneration fund and will accompany them through these difficult days and weeks.”

Former Moto2 rider Axel Pons has been seen walking through Pakistan bare-foot in light of new life after his racing career 🦶🏼

In a recent video Axel’s new lifestyle was shared as he proudly embarks on a new journey barefoot across the world. He explains he had spent the last 6 years walking barefoot, 3 years of which spent walking from Spain to Pakistan 🇪🇸 ➡️ 🇵🇰

His father Sito Pons, a former 2x 250cc world champion, explains his son’s walk is ‘driven by love to understand the world from the human perspective by knowing different cultures and religions”. 🏆

‼️ BMW Motorrad presents the BMW R 12 S, the exclusive special model as a tribute to the BMW R 90 S 🏍

With the BMW R 12 S, BMW Motorrad is expanding its Heritage range with a fitting tribute to the iconic R 90 S, which in 1973 not only set a sporty exclamation mark for BMW Motorrad with 67hp and a top speed of 200km/h in terms of riding dynamics.

“The defining design elements of our R 12 S include the handlebar- mounted cockpit fairing with the tinted windshield, the seat with contrast stitching, and the Lava Orange metallic paint finish as a nod to the legendary R 90 S Daytona Orange from 1975. The design is perfectly complemented by details such as the red-laid ‘S’ on the side covers, the red double line, and the brushed and clear-lacquered aluminum surfaces of the tank and seat hump,” says Alexander Buckan, Head of BMW Motorrad Design.

🚨 3x British Superbike champion Ryuichi Kiyonari releases a statement on the future of his career in motorcycle racing, following injury and an extensive operation back in 2022.

Kiyonari remains one of the biggest enigmas in the sport, who in his reign was undefeated as “King Kiyo” 👑
