In the early light of dawn, our tiny little boy from Truffle’s took his last breath.
Though his time with us was heartbreakingly short,he was loved. He passed away peacefully next to his mum , surrounded by everything we had to give - our knowledge, our care, our hearts, and our hope. He was beautiful. He mattered.
We give everything to our puppies - whether they're with us for a minute, an hour, a day, or a lifetime. We don't hold back. We don't cut corners. And when one leaves us, even so early, it takes a piece of us with them.
Behind the scenes, life doesn’t pause. The other dogs still need to be fed, groomed and loved. The work doesn’t stop but the grief doesn’t wait either so you try to do your best to carry both the best we can.
We are emotionally and physically exhausted. We need time to process and to heal. The remaining puppies are doing beautifully, and mum is doing well. For now, we just need some space to breathe.
To those who prayed, hoped, and held us in your thoughts - thank you. 🙏🏼 Your kindness carried us through some long, sleepless nights….
….. And in the quiet space between birth and death, there is life — raw, miraculous, and deeply moving. And this morning, our brave girl Ivy brought new life into the world. She gave birth to her first baby girl, and our hearts are overflowing with love, awe, and gratitude.
My emotions are like a rollercoaster right now — joy, relief, pride, overwhelming and something I can’t quite put into words especially after what’s happened this morning in the space of an hour!
Welcome to the world, little one.
You are already so loved. 🐶
