GB7NR Nottingham - Establihsed in 2019 is a digital multi-mode repeater. D-Star / DMR. It is connected to DCS248 on D-Star and DMR+_IPSC2-FreeSTAR on DMRPlus. This repeater has been a game changer for Nottingham’s digital scene and has been one of pinicle footings in FreeSTAR’s evolution.

The repeater also supports D-Star and is connected to XLX248 P by default. When in D-Star mode DMR will be unavailable until a period of 1 minute if inactivity is reached on D-Star.

The Nottingham repeater site has had an upgrade. One of two stacks has been replaced to accommodate 2 repeaters. GB3NF & GB7NR now run through one antenna which has been replaced, hardware, coax, and filtering for a more efficient antenna system. GB3NM (433.175Mhz ) has also been returned to the first stack collinear which will result in better local performance. GB3NF (145.625Mhz) & GB7NR (439.4375Mhz) (IPSC2-FreeSTAR) are both connected to the FreeSTAR Network’s AllStar and IPSC2 networks. The upgraded efficiency on antenna system will provide for better wide area performance.
