Their capacity to capture precise data supports well-informed decision-making, resulting in better project outcomes - Not forgetting the captivating shots that can be taken.
By utilising drone technology, construction firms can achieve quicker project finalisation, staying competitive in the market.

We had a great year in 2023, working with new clients and sectors. One in particular was with Sustainable Building Services (SBS) in collaboration with the awesome people at communications. SBS retrofit older residential buildings to enhance sustainability and save money for residents.
The way they do this is by working with local housing associations and councils to target the homes that need it most. They then work with residents to see what they are happy with going forward. Heat pumps, External Wall Insulation, double glazing and other methods are used - at no cost to the residents! It keeps there energy costs down and gives the exterior of the homes a face-lift.
This is a move forward towards the preservation of our environment. It helps to decrease energy usage, waste, and emissions of greenhouse gases.
As small business that is on its own journey to becoming Net Zero by 2030, this project fills us with delight that there are people and businesses out there that are taking the right steps.

Lighting is crucial for a successful interview as creates contrast, sets the mood, enhances visual appeal, and conveys professionalism.
Different lighting setups can convey different emotions and create a specific atmosphere. Well-lit subjects appear more vibrant on camera, making the interview more engaging and light-hearted. Good lighting also enhances the interviewee's credibility and professionalism.
The three-point light setup is a popular and effective way to light the subject, using a key-light, fill-light and a back-light, there's so much variety in this setup that you can tweak the intensity of the lights to create a more even and balanced look, or have more contrast and shadows.
The right lighting setup depends on the subject you are shooting, the space you are in and the time you have! More time for a lighting set up is 'Key'!

We played around with black and white for this video. Aiming for the Film Noir look, with harsh lighting and deep shadows.
Our references were to blood (like in lyrics) So we decided to just have the reds show alongside the monochrome pallete. For this we created a LUT In Da Vinci resolve to work from on the day
Sin city was also a reference for the trade and look.

We've been trying to work with 1st Blood for a while now, but the stars were never aligned.
We finally got together recently as they were finishing off their new album and we got things into gear!
It's safe to say, the cosmos was aligned for us all this time!

We recently worked with Cartwright Communications
Sustainable Building Services (UK) Ltd (SBS) on a huge video project. SBS are a sustainable building company that specialises in retrofitting old residential buildings. They achieve this by using a variety of methods including External Wall Insulation (EWI), double glazing. This all helps the end user (residents) to live in a warmer, safer and more energy reduced properties, saving them money.
This was a big project for us with a tight turnaround:
- 4 days filming
- 9 locations (multiple counties)
- 42 Interviews
- Lots of B-Roll footage
- 2.2TB worth of footage
- 3 Video Outputs
- 10 days to edit
Sustainability in the construction industry reduces negative environmental impact and prioritises occupants' well-being. Embracing sustainability creates a better world for present and future generations.
This is something we are passionate about at Spore Media as we are on our journey to become Net Zero Carbon.

We were approached by recently to see if we take on placements for work experience. We have never done this before but jumped at the chance to work with some young creatives. Having done work experience when we were at college, we know it's a great way for students to get some real world experience.
So on that note we invite you to recognise Jude! Jude joined us for a few weeks to gain some editing experience, his task was to create our new showreel and he smashed it out of the park!

You have to be creative when doing product photos/videos as to show of the product itself then also fill the frame with texture but not so much as to overcrowd the image. It took us ages to get the 'splash look' of this ground decaf coffee to look natural and pleasing to the eye.

Although overwhelming, we know that this is extremely important and we want to have a positive impact on the environment instead of a negative one!
We have pledged to reach net zero by 2030. Ideally reaching that point prior.
