Livewire1350 The University of East Anglia's award winning student Radio Station ๐ŸŽ™๐Ÿ“ก

Broadcasting from campus! GET INVOLVED!

Livewire1350, UEAโ€™s student radio station, is one of the longest established and best respected student radio stations in the country. It was founded in 1989, opened by John Peel, and is run by UEA students, broadcasting to its very own University campus, the Norwich area and anyone else! Every day from 8am-midnight we bring you varying shows with a range of musical styles, as well as the latest m

usic and student news. As well as the radio station we host loads of great live events. Hearing Aid, Livewireโ€™s biggest charity event, is a day of fun games to raise money for a charity of our choice. We also hunt for the best unsigned band in our Livewire Unsigned competition, not to mention a whole host of DJ nights and club nights, including Homesick Beats. Livewire is also famous for its previous Station Manager turned Radio One DJ, Greg James. Greg managed the station in 2005 while a student at UEA and won a Student Radio Award for Best Male Presenter the same year. Shortly after he joined Radio One and is now presenting the 4-7pm weekday slot for the station. With great music, great DJs and great entertainment Livewire really is an essential part of the UEA experience.
