One week today and we are on the road for the recording of Episode 7 - The Garden Centre.

have kindly invited us to the opening of the new Rugby store on the 14th of March.

Come down and say hello and watch the show being recorded in the Gardeners Retreat Restaurant.

We have a live educating Bish demo coming your way and hopefully we will be catching up with customers and staff on opening day!

We would appreciate it if you beautiful people could give our new Spotify channel a like and subscribe.

Simply search bearded growers podcast on Spotify.

All new episodes on Spotify will be on the new podcast channel and not the old bearded growers radio channel. All of our radio episodes are still available on the old channel.

As a bonus they are now video podcasts so you can see our lovely faces in every episode. Links to all episodes are in our story highlights.

Just got back from a long day at the garden press event and I’ve got a confession to make…

I didn’t enjoy myself as much as I should have, my mental health is taking a bit of kicking at the moment. The pressures of life have got on top of me a bit in the last couple of months, my anxiety is peaking!!

I also feel a little bit of imposter syndrome creeping in as the launch of the new podcast creeps ever closer. This is bonkers seeing as we did the radio show for 4 years, but switching to become a podcast is a big change and it feels like a leap of faith. Deep down I just want it to be the best version of the bearded growers.

I’m sorry to all those I met and spoke with today as I wasn’t my usual loud, bubbly personality, I felt distant and I should probably have stayed at home in truth. Thank you to my gardening besties for spending time with me today and making me feel appreciated.

As 2024 draws to a close it’s time to look back on a year of change for the bearded growers!

We kicked off the year attended press events, RHS shows, interviewing some super people and making new friends.

We launched The Projects! (Proper proud of this btw).

We got naked in the garden again 🤢

Then came the change…

Friendships ended and new ones were formed, we hosted shows and attended festivals, we really let our hair down (well, beards) at some amazing gigs.

We tried our hand at streaming and ultimately we left radio after 4 years to become a fully fledged podcast, despite some setbacks we are proud of the content we produced in a turbulent year for us as a show.

Then the REALLY big thing happened and we climbed a f**king mountain 😂

All to raise funds for the projects, and we smashed it! Raising enough money to fund 7 primary schools so they can learn about horticulture with the school garden success. We didn’t do this alone and we have to mention the amazing team:

Unfortunately for these guys they are now friends for life!

We are looking forward to 2025, the podcast/youtube show is definitely coming back and we have some exciting changes planned to liven up the horticultural world 😂

We hope you all have a Happy New Year, here’s to bigger and better things in 2025.

So we have some BIG news…

Bearded Growers will return in February 2025

Thing is we are going with a bit of a twist now we are officially a podcast (even we have to admit it now), but we found that a little boring…

1st problem is we needed a venue seeing as we are now homeless.

Problem solved JJ has a pub shed.

2nd problem podcasting is a crowded market so we needed to do something different.

Problem solved we are recording in a pub sooooo we are now officially a PUBCAST 😂 🍻

We are also hitting the road with
Bearded Growers: Live & Unleashed!!!

We are looking for venues to record the podcast, do some demo’s for Educating Bish, and generally put on a horticultural show for the ages!!! Fancy letting us cause cause chaos at your garden centre/community garden/planty venue, DM us!!!
