Just in case you are in Tesco Springhill shopping, please stop to have a look at their community used books at the tills. They have a tremendous selection of books and Andrea their community officer does fantastic work. We (Sound Around Ards) are their chosen charity this month and as you can see already they have raised over £300 for us. Please support them.

Sound Around Ards are the charity being supported this month by Tesco Springhill’s used book stall. We are very grateful to them for this. If you have never been in the store and are a reader you should drop in as they have six of seven book cases full of up to date books and just ask for a donation if you find something of interest.

This week 45 YEARS AGO, Sound Around Ards sent out their FIRST recording in tape format! It was recorded by the Newtownards Lions group, who set up Sound Around Ards, and was recorded in the sitting room of one of their members mother’s house (Victor Moore) in William Street Newtownards. Who would have thought we would still be going strong in 2025!
