More coverage of the Spirit of NI awards today in Sunday Life.

Do you know someone who could use our service? They do not have to be visually impaired to qualify, they may not be able to hold a newspaper any longer after a stroke, or have concentration issues. Someone may just want to receive our weekly cd because they need some company. If you would like our service, no one will question why you need it, just phone Alison on 07977473080 and she will get you set up. If you have email you can email her on [email protected]. Here is a little snippet about what we do.

Sound Around Ards are delighted to have been awarded the Community award from the Spirit of NI awards at the Culloden tonight. Representing us was Joan Moore (volunteer reader), Christine Wilson (listener) and Libby Rankin (volunteer reader). This award was for supporting our local community for 45 years in producing a weekly cd of the local news for the visually impaired.

Sound Around Ards are delighted to have been informed they are finalists in the Community Heros section of the Spirit of NI awards 2025 for their work over 45 years in the community. Fingers crossed for 20th June as that is when we will be informed of the winners at their gala dinner in the Culloden Hotel. 🤞
