We have a beautiful venue with a fabulous Bechstein piano provided by Simon Caterall of Yes Pianos.

High Street Records can now confirm that ‘Not Angry, Just Disappointed’, the debut album by Alan of Galloway - aka Alan McClure - is now mixed, mastered and being readied for release.

The LP is an eleven song collection which encompasses spoken word, orchestration, techno beats and sublime vocal arrangements.

It was a total pleasure working with Alan. Down to earth, funny and very creative. He never lost his focus and contributed whole heartedly to the painstaking and detailed process of making his tracks into a fully realised record.

High Street wishes him the very best fortunes for his release, and is looking forward to working with him again.

Without these mastering headphones by Ollo Audio decisions about eq, compression and space would just be guesswork.
Rok Gulić at Ollo is a perfectionist. Not content with making these beautiful tools, he then went on to generate calibration files for every set in existence, and integrated that calibration into already existing monitoring software. The result is as close to true as you’ll get, imo.
But he didn’t stop there.
Every enquiry I’ve ever made about the cans or the calibration/software he has answered personally, even on Sundays.
Rok is a scientist, an artist and a gentleman. He also has a clear vision about what working producers actually want.

Hang on to your preconceptions..at your peril!!!
The mixing is done and now the new album by Alan McClure is being mastered.
It’s a whopper.

I produced both the excellent albums by pop folkers The Razorbills, fronted by Alan and his compadré Harry Thomson. I thought I might be in for more of the same, but the creativity and playfulness on show here dives into electro, theatre, spoken word and cinematic storytelling. The beats are front and centre, with Alan’s chops on synths, piano, guitar, sax and bass decorating his uncompromising vocal delivery.
McClure’s songwriting is blooming, and, perhaps more importantly, he’s squared up to the demands of modern music production and has crafted colourful soundscapes inhabited by poetry and occasional madness.
It’s been a total pleasure to take the last leg of this journey with him.

Watch out for the release date. It might be your new favourite record. It’s definitely mine.

Recently been creating music for submission to publishers for syncronisation to film, tv etc.
Here's a country tune called SUNSET I did with Graham Rodger on pedal steel guitar.
I was asked to do something after the style of Merle Haggard. Not sure if it's very much like him, but it was a lot of fun :)
