, when our control room was dismantled and reassembled within a 3 storey stone mill overlooking the Mourne Mountains in County Down. The much loved control room now connects to over 1000 sq ft of live areas - a large 600 sq ft apexed ceiling live room, a 'Westlake-style' 2nd live room, and also to additional tie lines and mic inputs throughout the building. Within the mill we also offer eco friendly beautifully crafted artist accommodation heated by a wood burning stove, with a plentiful supply of fuel from our studio woods and log store. Recent clients of Analogue Catalogue include The Vaselines (Sub Pop), Jeffrey Lewis (Rough Trade), King Creosote & Jon Hopkins (Domino), Barbarossa (Memphis Industries), The Music Tapes (Merge), James Yorkston (Domino), Allo Darlin' (Slumberland/Fortuna Pop), Fionn Regan (Universal), The Offset: Spectacles (Rose Mansion Analog, Beijng), The Shivers (Silence Breaks/Fence) and more. We offer first class analogue recording in beautiful surroundings whilst remaining within the recording budgets of independent record labels and self-releasing artists around the world. At Analogue Catalogue everything is recorded to 24 Track 2" tape through our recently re-capped and lovingly maintained Trident Series 80B console and Otari MTR-90MkII Analogue Multi-Track Recorder. The machine room houses both the tape machine and desk power supplies which means that the control room contains no computers, screens or fan noise. This allows for a level of audio concentration that was the professional norm in recording studios prior to the digital invasion.

Been hanging with a certain saw player and a polar bear these last few weeks. The Music Tapes Orbiting Human Circus comes to Belfast this Friday 8th July for the 1st show in 4 years, Letterkenny on Saturday 9th and over to Glasgow Mono on 13th and Edinburgh Voodoo Rooms on 14th.

Julian Koster (Neutral Milk Hotel) and Robbie Cucchiaro (Nana Grizol) are truly magical and fun. I've been lucky enough to have them in my life for decades. This is not a rock show it's a mind altering experience 🐻‍❄🎪🦗🪕🐭

Hannah Peel and myself will be delivering this hopefully as a residential workshop here in August. Woohoo!! Can't wait ❣⚡

⏪◀️⏹⏸⏯▶️⏩
Hannah Peel, TONN Recordings and Women’s Work Festival are delighted to announce the first NI Electronic Workshop.

The workshop will deliver techniques, new equipment, guidance and inspiration for selected artists to help develop their creative process.

It will include focus on analogue synthesis, composition, recording, production and mixing.

Led by Hannah Peel, an award-winning composer, musician and electronic producer based in Northern Ireland, four individuals will be selected to participate in sessions commencing in August.

New compositions will be created and developed with guidance from Hannah and other sonic experts including Julie McLarnon at Analogue Catalogue Studios.

Upon completion of the productions, the artists will have their music released on a debut NI Electronic Workshop compilation in association with Belfast-based experimental electronic label TONN Recordings run by Mary McIntyre. The release will be supported by a special launch event at Sound Of Belfast Festival 2021.

The aim of the programme is simple; to provide tools, encouragement and space for the next generation of female electronic pioneers to realise their potential.

Applications will open on May 17th and close on June 20th at the end of the Women’s Work festival.
Successful applicants will be announced early July 2021
